Me too. Why do I torture myself?

isn't that one of the requirement to being a fanyu: self-torture

It certainly seems so, doesn’t it? :13877886:

To be honest, although I'm trying to be happy for him I'm currently feeling empty.. it's like I'm neither feeling any emotions but I have this pressure in my chest that kindda forces me to cry so that I can feel better but I can't. And it's making me feel really lonely currently. I really hope this get over quickly.

I can't cancel a flight and have a flat booked with fellow Fanyus (and know some others which will go anyway), so at least hope to have some nice time in Milan - I love Italy. Must admit I'll try to sell tickets in case of WD (at least Gala to have a full free day) cuz I saw all the Men live in last couple of seasons (I'd rather see Ladys comp instead), if I'm not lucky with selling I think I'll go myself.

I have a light heart about all this cuz I already saw Yuzu this year at CoR (forever grateful for choosing it this year), but feel how hard it is for those who went through NHK or didn't saw Yuzu live at least once. But I really hope Yuzu chooses what's best for his health rn cuz most of all I want to see him skate for many years to come (in comps then shows).

Anyway I hope we'll have a meet-up (or better a celebration OG dinner)) with those satellites who'll still go :grouphug:

I’m sure there will already be a lot of swans headed to Milan but would anyone like to take more? I have a lot left and I should post them soon in case I don’t go.

I'll be there no matter what happens. And I mean at all competitions. And those Pooh bears in my avatar will, too, because no way am I going to save them up for who-knows-when (besides which, I can always buy a gazillion new second-hand ones at the next Free-market).

I already paid for everything, and when I was buying tickets I needed to make a choice: crappy tickets for more events or great tickets for men and I choose the latter. :13877886: Now I just hope Boyang and Jun will show up and Deniss too, because I don't really have any other favourities.

Counting out a Milan miracle, if Yuzu won't do any GP in Europe in the rest of his career (I refuse to think the worst) or some shows, like Kings on Ice or Stephane's show, in the future (but I doubt it, when he has 34545 millions better paid shows in Japan), I won't ever see him live :tumblr_inline_ncmif7esGm1rpglid:

Same issue :13877886:

I'm lucky I'm quite a fan of Shoma, so that's been a nice thought to keep me somewhat sane

I'm so sorry you're stuck in this position. :( I think those 3 are very likely to show up so hopefully you can still enjoy the competition, even though I know it's not the same without Yuzu.

Stephane made it onto his idol list with Plushy and Johnny today so I think he'll definitely do Stephane's show one day. :) I really hope he does. I would make the trip to Europe for it, no question. Stephane is the skater I want to see most live after Yuzu. GPF might be in Europe next year, mightn't it? I think it would be worth it to travel to Canada or US to see him if you have any chance, anyway... speaking as someone who has never seen him. I never thought I'd be able to travel again but my desire to see him changed everything.

I wonder if you're in any Shoma FB groups or something like that? If you see anyone who is looking for tickets... :snonegai: (Please say hi to Coach Fluffy for me.)

I am also going whether he is there or not as it is probably my only chance to ever attend a competition in my life.

It would be disappointing not seeing him but it is what it is and there is nothing I can do about it other than pray for his recovery and cheer for team Japan to get the three spots so that he wouldn't feel guilty about it.

I hope Javi decides to go so that we would have one of the uncles there and I really love his free program and want to see it live. I mean, it is in Europe and close to Spain, right?!

I don't know anyone's circumstances but never say never. This might not have to be your last chance to see him or a competition.

At this point the universe seems hellbent on making sure I never see him and it's horrible and scarring but I won't give up even if it takes years. I was positive that after spending all my savings to go to NHK, not to mention the physical strain, I would never be able go to another competition. But somehow I managed to scrape enough together for Worlds (well, thanks to a loan) and though I don't think I'll handle such a long flight at all well, I thought I have to try or all the effort will be for nothing. If he doesn't go here, there'll be another chance for us, I'm sure of it.

(Sorry, I probably sound crazy. Perhaps everyone else is just more sensible than I am. :P)

Thank you. You are just like our brilliant boy, never say never and never give up.

I can only hope I will have a chance to see him someday. Hope dies last, as they say in my country

Believe me I would be crazy enough to go to NA or Asia to see him skate, if not for the little detail, that one way plane ticket would cost me more than entire cost of my Milan trip. And I can't afford that. Good thing I love Italy and Milan was always on my "to visit" list. Plus knowing myself I will probably find some underdog with no chance for medal to root for in the free skate :P
