that's what really separates yuzu from everyone else for me; you can see his love for skating, it's in every single program, competitive or not; it's in his music choices; in every detail of his costume; and in his brilliance for trying the unprecedented 😭😭 and not saying that no one else has the passion for ice skating like he does, but at his level, after all his achievements, after all the unfairness he's faced, it's hard not to feel burnt out and call it a day, but he's still here with the same fervor for figure skating as he had when all the medals and accomplishments were still shiny new things

you could totally see his ecstatic face going into the final sequence after his last jump, even after he stumbled, how happy he was for himself. he knew it wasn't a perfect performance, and he knew he didn't quite solidify his gold medal, but he was so incredibly happy and proud of himself for being able to skate, and that fact makes me happier for him than anything else that night

cant say no to PW, but i dont think his olympic circle has just quite ended...yuzu has proven the world on multiple occasions, including tonight, that if he wants the gold, he can get the gold

THIS!! personally, yuzuru has a lot more artistry than nathan does...his skating connects emotionally to the music, which is why he is able to pull off so many different genres. nathan is admittedly very good at quads, but he shoves so many in his programs that there's so little space left to project and charm his audience and hence, the music honestly just seems like an accessory to his skating. yuzu on the other hand dances to his music; a lot of his choreography peaks at the climax of the music as well, which makes his performances draw so much more. yuzu definitely does not need ballet lessons; he's got the artistry covered.
