This whole situation with Kihira is just so… I’m cringing hard. This is what it looks like when for whatever godforsaken reason JSF decided not to support their non-chosen ones. That and the baffling decisions Kihira’s team has been making for the last 3 years or so.

I am not sure I’ll have access to stable internet during JNats,,, so hopefully some blessed souls will posts videos of the performances!

wishing all the best of luck to Zuzu, my Mai, and everyone competing!

If her conditions are that bad, why did she do so many ice shows over the summer?

funding?

OMG :OI realized today that the first practice will take place tomorrow. Maybe there will be a few little snippets from Yuzu's new SP.:girlsigh: I wish him a first good practice. The most important thing is of course, that he feels no more pain while skating.:smiley-angelic001:

Here is an overview also from the practices

Because she lacks sponsors./s

T/N somehow can survive in Canada via crowdfunding.

checking Nats schedule properly at last and I've realized only now that Men's FS is not on the 25th

I'm gonna be living in Jpn timezone mentally starting from now, even while doing Christmas celebrations. Last season was kinda easier logistically, since family meetings were all on skype. Still haven't made up my mind whether settle for a sneak peek on phone or make everyone else watch... gotta remember to bring my pocketPooh with me to squeeze.

Gosh, since I was worrying till now whether Zu would be there, everything feels so last minute:14066882: Anxiety/anticipation for the comp hasn't yet kicked in, I just keep thinking about how much Zu has recovered, whether his decision to attend is because he's properly recovered or rather that he felt he had to "earn" his place at Nats. I suppose we'll see from his layout. I hope he has 4T and 4S back and that he's gonna take care and be healthy. I've got enough traumas for this season, and more than enough in these past years following him.

A part of my mind is happy we're gonna finally see Rondo, but at the moment I haven't registered it yet the whole new program!!!!!-new costumes!!!!! thing.

For spots, Shoma and Yuma have their own pretty much guaranteed whatever Nats results because of the other criteria. Since I don't really care about either, it sucks for me that there's only one remaining spot open :(

Pairs' spot is settled, rightfully. will miss M/K tho. ID gonna guess they'd prefer M/T. Heard their programs are very good, but still can't warm up emotionally to Dai. I'll be sorry if KoKo lose olys to such a new team, but also, can't say that they are overall the clearly superior team, so...

For ladies Kaori has her own guaranteed spot, she was the only lady qualifying for GPF and fullfills a whole bunch of other criteria too. The other two are up for the grabs and I really want Waka to get one this time. Would love it for Mai to get it too.

But it breaks my heart that this will be possible because Rika is out :sadPooh:

Spoiler

her situation is so heartbreaking. Afaik she had a back injury in spring and then got a different injury at her ankle in summer and that's the one she's been recovering from. I wonder whether there might have been some kind of reinjury as she recovered, of if it was just that bad form the start... Now she has gone went back to Japan and quarantined too, so that too didn't help with whatever recovery routine she had either, but she would have been still be vey much in contention without 3A, if she had  had all the other jumps back. Heck, it's possible that even without 3Lz she she would have still had a chance... The fact that a WD is very very likely means she's still very, very far from recovered ://

this sucks so much. She had been working so hard and with patience, with that clear goal in mind, working since she was jr on improving her jumps, tackling her weaknessess one at a time through the seasons... and we got SaitamaWC, and then she had to take away her lz for a while, and then when she had finally recovered her jumps and working on upping bv again she got her injury, and f*cking WTT worsened it, and then.... just such a string of terrible luck, but I also keep thinking that both Hamada's methods and Lambiel's carelessness contributed in some measure to the accumulation of injuries. I'm not sure about the timeline of her ankle injury and her summer iceshows. It's true that she has sponsors, so compared to other skaters she would be in better position to give up on those, but pandemic hit everyone. I also distrust IMG, we don't even know what her obligations are. In hindsights it would have probably been better if she skipped everything, but we don't know what kind of treatments she had been recommended at the time.

This is gonna be so tough mentally, I hope it doesn't crushes her :sad4:

I miss the first tweet but it is official she has withdrawn.

So she has stress fracture of the lower part of the bone that makes up the ankle joint (talus), which (it seems) occured in July.
