Hanyu's stature doesn't depend for any bit on whether a 17-year-old upcomer likes him or not. I'm sorry but I'm almost annoyed seeing a post like this being shared on PH -- please don't take it personally.... I really don't care about Ilia or his jumps. 4A is only special if it's done by Hanyu; otherwise, it's just another jump ....

Wow. I think the post may have been misinterpreted. Why would I, a Yuzu fan like everyone else on here, post something that would intentionally demean Yuzu?  It was merely posted because it appears Ilia is also a Yuzu fan (like us). I really dont have much interest in this youngster at all. Please remove if offensive, but it was shared in a humorous light.

I think it's very nice to learn that Ilia is a Hanyu fan, so thank you for sharing.  One hopes this reflects his appreciation of the finer points of figure skating - only time will tell!  

 

 

There is a commentary about Yuzu's "Real Face" program that was posted on Web Sportiva on May 30. The machine translations is very bad so I was wondering if someone has seen translated comments of this article? The interpretation of the program and why Yuzu covers/uncovers his face with the hood is quite interesting.

Oh hey please don't get me wrong. This is an open forum and we are all entitled to post content we believe are relevant and appropriate. Apologies if I made you feel inhibited in any manner. I realize I am probably the one who should do a better job censoring my comment. I didn't like Hanyu being referred to as some "Japanese skater" instead of the GOAT nor having his name placed next to Yuma, but that's just me with my very intense and oftentimes over indignant baby Fanyu emotions. Please disregard.

I did check out the whole thing and it seems he got his Loop combo (3Lo-3Lo!!!) back and he jumped 3F  

 

No miss with the quad but trouble with the 3A, so ice condition must have been weird. 

 

Anyway, it seems OP had a blast and was utterly charmed by Yuzu
