Yes I think when typing  you have to write "dzu" to get づ but the 'zu' in Yuzuru's name should be づ and not ず right?

The poster does seem to have a typo consider the kun reading for 弦 is つる but I guess it just looks prettier. Who knows. Let's wait for a native Japanese speaker

The traffic poster is deliberately using the word yuzuru = to “give way” ( as in letting others pass or cross) which is written as ゆずる〜譲る。。It’s a pun on his name which is pronounced the same way but his name is written as yudzuru ゆづる　結弦。The second character in his name is pronounced “tsuru” on its own  and means a twine or a bow. With the character Yu 結 coming just before it, the sound is transformed to dzu =zu.

I don't know if this is the right thread, but I wrote a sonnet based around Yuzu's message for WTT and I thought I'd post it here. 

 

 

 

when you are on the ice you seem to blaze

and glitter as the music starts to play

it's almost searing, looking at your face

but nigh impossible to look away

 

and even off the ice, as fiercely gleams

the burning fire of your intellect;

the eloquence with which you share your dreams,

your thoughtfulness, compassion, and respect 

 

but over all of that, how much more bright

shimmers your kindness, like a guiding star

you say that you would like to be our light

but don't you know that you already are?

 

no matter what you do or where you go

the essence of your nature is to glow
