This picture in @gladi's latest translation just makes me go LOL, though, because a) his expression and b) the angle of the photo makes it look like he has an extremely thin leg and the other with a killer thigh.

He has long, thin thighs but they have muscles especially in the back (butt lol), so depending on the perspective they look very thin or very thick.

His thighs are fitness goals, for real. *sigh*

Oh boy.....so Uchimura's strategy is to basically do terrifying as fuck things to mount the pressure on himself so he pushes himself into an athletic high? Kind of.....really hoping Yuzu takes that advice with a grain of salt :13877886: (that being said, I definitely feel his first comment about 'when I feel I'm in good condition, I tend to fail to do perfect performances'. You kind of want to be the right amount of nervous so you're focused instead of relaxed/disconnected)

Uchimura has said that he doesn't feel pressure- there's an interview with Daisuke Takahashi from the run up to Rio on YouTube where he talks about it.  Y has said that he does feel pressure so I'm not sure how helpful U and his way of going about things can be to Hanyu.  Also apart from worlds and Olympics Uchimura doesn't compete much outside Japan, doesn't interact with the press and fans the way that YH does and doesn't have the traumatic teenage experiences and health issues Hanyu has.  I think people put them together in their minds because they are both Japanese, both perfectionists who have each said that they value beautiful performances over scores, but in terms of personality and personal experiences they are quite different.

I can see how launching for a 4A may be terrifying as well. It's super high, there's so much speed and strenght, I can see how it gives you that athletic high very easily (and not only that, of course, but quads in general, and this is why I think so many young athletes want to do them).

There's an asteroid belt named Seimei!?

What I do love about Yuzu is he will ask just about anyone who is an expert in their own field about their experiences and he is usually able to mold those advise into something that suits him. (LOL at him talking to Kenzo Shirai about jumps and him saying he can't use Shirai's technique).
