Lol. Watch how Boyang becomes the only youngster trying to become all-round instead of only aiming at winning gold through all means necessary - and the one who was once the number one in technique, keeps his 4 quads and improves as a skater overall. Magic. Honestly, we are harsh when we talk about Nathan having no chance to be more artistic with 6-7 quads, but if Shoma takes the same route? He's gonna get the same treatment. I want to be faithful and hope the best for them, which means hoping that they get balanced programs and nice interpretation of them - but they are not giving me a lot of chance to do it LOL. Stress eating/Stress cooking. Not knowing how to pass time until the first Senior Men practice at ACI.

It's chocolate italian shortbread with marmelade in between two cookies. Come to the foodie thread dark side, we have cookies. To talk about skate: thinking about how the reaction to Lombardy trophy and USI must have been at TCC, I am highly convinced that Yuzuru was super happy to see Shoma in excellent condition right from the start, and that motivated him even more to try and go clean with five quads. True that everyone around Yuzu probably keeps telling him to stay chill and calm. I wonder if he's now able to return to that 'calm' state before Hope and Legacy, that magical spot...

I vote yes! Cooking and thinking about food is the thing I do more besides FS obsessing after all...

Are you baking right now? I wanna see the results (I'm just about to heal from a week-long flu and I've had breakfast with a fourth of a donut... Italian donuts are dirty, dirty I tell you, and these ones were particularily huge)

He likes strawberry shortcake, he said it in an interview with Nobu and Shoma xD And yes, also with pumpkin pie! I did it the first time last year and was super terrified I would get something wrong, get it too runny or too tough and get it to crack on top. When it didn't, I was so fulfilled. Also, omg, best cake ever??

Baking is just the tip of the iceberg... And remember, every dessert needs a little bit of ! I don't think the microwave is okay, because the microwave has the characteristic of cooking faster, and at higher temperatures. Instead, the meringues need the opposite! Low temperature, very slow c: Although, I don't have a microwave so I'm not totally an expert on it. Probably, you'll find ways to do it on youtube, they make everything work there xD So, just to know, what kind of meringue are you doing? Italian, french or swiss? Because there are different methods to it and some might be easier than others. (Lol we don't have a baking thread yet! Should we make it? xDDD)

I may not be entirely correct but my father's a chef and I tried to learn everything from him - it might be because the meringues aren't completely done yet. The oven should be at the lowest of temperatures (100° celsius) and the meringues should take aprox. 1 hour, but depending on their sizes they could take a little more or a little less. When the baking time is done, don't pull them out of the oven right away. This will create a temperature trauma, and even if the meringues are completely done, they may react like you saw! So, after the baking time is up, turn the oven off and leave the meringues in there, possibly with the oven door slightly open (not completely open), for 10 to 20 minutes. This might avoid the trouble. If you do this and they still sog at the center, maybe there is some problem in the preparation of the meringue before putting them in the oven c: *And this FS international forum has just turned into an international Baking Forum. Srry*

The music you choose doesn't make you an all-around skater. Putting together excellent technique in jumps, spins, skating skills, transitions in and out of jumps, sensitivity to music and an original and personal interpretation of the music you chose, makes you an all-around skater. Plus, warhorses or unknown music, you're supposed to be able to interpret it all. You don't get 'more artistic' by choosing an unknown piece. LOL. To me it seems like Jackie's trying to squeeze out compliments and flatteries badly connected to the info he has on the skaters. It's irritating. But I'm nervous and full of these days.

I don't doubt Yuzu has thousands of Canadian fans it's just that some competitions are more strict than others, and Skate Canada has never been forgiving with Yuzu's mistakes, which were costly in PCS more than TCS, sometimes. Also, since it's been 9 years since Yuzu came to Italy, I'm now very curious to know how Italy will treat him at Worlds. Of course, it will greatly depend on his performance, but since they treated Shoma royally this time around, I wonder if he's gonna have the same treatment!

I think LGC was about revealing how Yuzuru's charisma and sexyness come to be. Same as Javi fitting perfectly with malaguena, I guess Yuzu has his own style and it would be hard for him to make a tango 'his own' style, and same with pizzica or tarantella or stornelli and such xD But one can dream (Also, I had a dear friend from Salento who made me listen to almost all the hits of Nuova compagnia di canto popolare, and they stuck because they're beautiful <3)
-
He did do that (with Sing Sing Sing right?) but he was so little! I wanna see grown up Yuzu swinging his hips to the rhythm of swing! Well, Italian southern traditional music is so characteristic that I actually doubt that Yuzu will ever skate to it. Javi might be a better candidate! But still, it would be fun to know whether he likes it or not c: (I'll put just an example of a pizzica on spoiler! Listen to it if you're curious)
-
PW showed he can blues, LGC showed he can rock, now I'm really craving a swing performance <3 (or... what about an Italian tarantella? There are extremely good ones in Sicilian, but I think it's a whole different world for him and the culture shock might be too much )

That requires you to get a map with all the different ice cream truck stops tho. I won't guarantee it will work more than once with the same staff.

Too late, we all figured out your evil plan to get free ice cream by playing tiny-little-girl at ice cream trucks stops.

Girl: *asks autograph* Yuzuru: *gives flower* I want to receive a flower from Yuzu. Or at least I want someone from Planet Hanyu to receive a flower from Yuzu

I'm sorry I forgot to notice it was your first post c: Welcome to the Planet! Yes, Skate Canada is definitely salty all the time with Yuzuru. Since he was very young and even now. Who knows when he'll conquer the hearts of Canadians! Maybe when Patrick will retire, lol...

Mmh not only performance but also coreography and skating skills and, overall, they were balanced PCS. Strict if you compare them to PCS today, or if you compare them to Patrick's PCS or Takahashi's PCS at the time (it was said more times that Yuzu's SS were already as good as theirs, but since he was young, he was held back), but balanced. Had Yuzu been showerd in 90's PCS since he was 18, I don't know if his skating would have resented it. Maybe not. But Shoma said it himself - getting this kind of scores in September makes you worried. They are not helping him at all.

So tonight I decided to watch 2013 TEB with Max and Angelo's commentary. I wanted to know what was Yuzu's Olympic journey from the start, and it sure was mindblowing if we compare how things are going right now. I'll just mention a couple of things: at Skate Canada, Yuzu's PCS for his Free Skate were below 80. Since Yuzu still had stamina problems, but a very ambitious program, he dragged himself from one element to the other for the last two minutes of Free Program. At the time, somehow, when a program was empty, it was recognized and harshly judged. Or maybe it's because Yuzu was never favoured, by no one, in all his carreer. At TEB, his program became richer with Transitions, and Yuzu acquired some stamina. Still needed to work on the quads though, which he failed both. With a perfect 2/3 of a free program, he gained the surprising amount of 81 PCS. Oh, and let's not forget: his Technical score was still one of the highest, as high as Patrick's or Takahashi. So, with one of the most difficult technical programs ever, and with one of the highest technical scores ever, yes, Yuzuru had PCS that didn't go above 8.50. So, yeah, just to put things in perspective. People like Johnny Weir can apparently forget that PCS and TCS are two different scores, but just a brief look at four years ago will show that the reality was way different for other skaters, as young as those of today, with a tech content as revolutionary as those of today.

Ooh I see. I have no idea lol! I really hope it's something just limited to the UK because otherwise it would be pretty sad!
