    If they only talk about tech but say all correct things, damn, that's already a lot! It means they know what they're talking about! In Italy, we have the mytical Max and Angelo commentary which focuses on tech but of course considers PCS and everything else as well, and then e have the RAI commentators, whom don't even know what a counter is, and only make empty compliments when they think the performance was great/clean, and heavily favour some skaters instead of others. I remember, I'm not sure if it was GPF 2010 or another comp, but they went ahead and talked about how they preferred Takahashi 100 times over Patrick Chan, and didn't think Chan should have won, for 10 minutes straight, without talking tech, or PCS, in a professional manner.

    "Doing how many quads he feels like in the moment" is fun and unique... but it also means "no planned choreography or difficult transitions/steps in and out of jumps", does it not? Should this make us skeptical about any Skating Skills progress or what? *deep sigh*

    Yes but Plushenko is still one of the most famous skaters ever, so I think he does have a say in the argument. Even if just by influencing thousands of fans. I like that he expresses himself this clearly. Yuzuru is too polite to do it, maybe is too used to put the responsability upon his shoulders, especially since he's still competing. But when he's retired? Who knows. Sparks may be flying.

    I'd rather have the judges follow GOE rules perfectly though than having cleanliness being rewarded without considering the other characteristics of the performance I don't agree... look at Yuzuru's fall in Worlds 2012... do I have to say anything else?

    Wouldn't slightly changing the factorisation we have now be enough to do the trick? Like... instead of being 120 tes vs 100 PCS, let it factorise so that it will be 120 and 120? I'm not sure if I'm making any sense. I just wanna say I am a musician and have always been terrible at math. I don't know why I'm even talking. *hides herself among the bushes*

    I think cleanliness should be rewarded, but falls are already penalized through deductions. Why putting another 10% off when the skater's already lost -3 points, deduction only, without counting the minus GOE? I think falls are already being penalized enough...

Politiking... how to stop the politiking when it's the single major problem crossing ALL areas of international interest? Including United Nations and other Organisations which should represent completely the opposite of politiking?

    Maybe they should start by lowering the ticket prices for Challenger series like Lombardia Trophy who cost more than Grand Prix series events.

    My poor Japanese confirms that that's what it's saying more or less. It says US, China and Russia 'don't want to do' the rule changes. If this was true, it would make sense. Italy, except Carolina, hasn't had strong skaters in years, and we don't have strong jumpers. Italy would benefit from separating Artistic and Technical. Same for the other small federations with fewer athletes, I presume. But if this is true, then the trouble is hardly over - it's just getting started. Japan won't support this, and you have another big fed left out. Canada? I don't think so, since not even the US supported it.

    Knowing Yuzu, he might just use the changes in his favour and jump the perfect 4A with +5 GOE and get 17.5 points. And Fuck ISU with it.

    Yuzuru has stated that he wants to always be inside figure skating world, after all. It wouldn't be that surprising now that I think about it. Patrick has always been very vocal as well, so it would be IC for him as well. Javi, I'm not sure. My money is on Patrick and Yuzu. For now. But if Isu doesn't have the support of the federations... are they really gonna be able to do this? What about politics? Are they throwing all the consent in the air to do... I don't even know how the fuck to call this bullshit? Lol, I'm so mad. Anyways, your long comment, Xen, should be read by all ISU officials, so I'd suggest you do send it to them somehow.

    Shouldn't we all? I can't believe there won't be ISU officials who will complain about this... With the risk of sounding like an old man shaking his fist in the air, "This is what extreme capitalism does to things". Privates have all the liberty to make everything theirs and put it for sale instead of sharing it out of love for said thing. 'Murica.

    I wonder if the time for us to see angry Yuzuru firmly stating his opinion on skating is about to come... but something tells me he would just repeat himself. He's already stated, clear as sunlight, what his idea of figure skating is. And now ISU is replying "okay, but the athletes that WE want CAN'T do that, so... u know... who cares"
