Thank you! Yes, can I take the controversial case of Shoma Uno for example? I have troubles judging his Skating Skills. Because he looks balanced, has great upper body movements and is smooth with his knees, right? He has great ice coverage (better than Nathan's of Jin's) and speed, so if you consider these elements, he should get excellent scores. But, he spends a lot of time doing crossovers, which aren't considered hard, so he's not "putting his Skating Skills to test", or how should I say, he is not daring in his Skating Skills. So why should he get a 9.5 from me, when I can clearly see there are other skaters (although, very few) who try and do harder things, more one-foot skating, and are as smooth, if not even smoother, than him? If I tried to score Shoma's SP in WC 2018, for example, I couldn't for the life of me give him more than 8.5 in Skating Skills. He even tripped there at some point, although of course he wasn't in the best of shapes.

Sorry if I come in late my friends :3' I would love to be side-judge, if there's still the possibility... I'm confident with GOEs regarding jumps and spins, not so confident regarding Step Sequences and levels on step sequences and spins (levels are called by the TP, right? But I should be able to understand it anyways), but I am a fast learner and I was waiting for something to motivate me to study even more the technique behind figure skating c: As for PCS, I think I'm slowly starting to pay attention to knees and edges more, although I'd be a little tentative in judging SS as a whole; TR should be a little easier because it's a 'it's there or it isn't there' kind of thing; and with CO and PE, and especially in IN I might end up being a little devil. (If the Interpretation is flat from start to finish, for example, and there isn't a journey to go along with musical crescendo-decrescendo and such, you're not gonna get pretty numbers as far as I'm concerned). Please let me join and I'll try and save up time whenever you guys decide!!

I ACTUALLY WOULDn'T MIND. Wait wait wait. Listen to me. At the Olympics, as Shoma was skating to Nessun Dorma, and the voice was going "All'alba vinceròòòò, vinceròòòòò, VINCEROOOO'" it wasn't singing Shoma's victory - it was singing Yuzuru's repeat OG and it was so epic and I was crying through it!!! So, if he did skate to Nessun Dorma... I... wouldn't mind. I would cry probably.

I'm starting to feel like a lurker, following the discussions here but arriving too late so losing motivation to write my two cents about it I did send those banana sculptures to my whatsapp contacts tho.

Oh, Yuzuru is definitely Gryffindor. He's got the smarts, he's got the ambitions and he's trustworthy as a friend. BUT, I think his greatest strenght is his courage to face day after day, every challenge that comes up his way, with that slight touch of self-confidence that makes him say "I will do it". (although I have to say I have never been a fan of Harry Potter's House sorting. I find it too simplicistic to be able to fit real people, who change on a daily basis and should look for a balance among all their strenghts, to overcome any situation in life.)
