I think I got it! I hope there's gonna be an alternate solution in the future though, or I want my informatics degree HAHAHAHA
-
Same thing for me and Gabby xD Yes, that's what happened to me - now I have three GP China 17/18 events, two with my judging and one with the elements of all the girls :c Sorry if I'm thick, but where should I export what? I mean okay exporting my judging, and then in the code of my judging, I should "copy/paste" the other girl's TP elements?
-
... I am too shy. edit: (It means that I'm too stupid to do that)
-
Importing this won't override the judging I've already posted, right?
-
I think the problem is that calling a PR in real time is really hard to do, and since you are always pushed to judge in favour of the skater (and fairly so, if you ask me), unless it is really obvious, judges can only reflect the overall quality of the jump through GOE. But I don't think it's a 'limited' influence. I think GOEs change the results of a competition. You can have a difference of 3-4 points from a perfect jump to a bad jump with bad take-off. Those kind of points make you win or lose a competition.

I'm sure his time will come... maybe after he turns Pro

Help how do I stop watching Ciontu on repeat, I'm asking for a friend

Mmh yeah, I do agree there is some degree of subjectivity, but I guess one should look up criteria to make it as objective as possible? For example, enhancing the music for me is changing positions and moving the hands to the beat of the music (extreme examples, Yuzu's sit spin with fist pumpin LGC, or his hand movements in Chopin's Doughnut spin), putting physical accents to the musical accents, and it has to be very visible. Radionova moves her hands during Camel spin too, but she doesn't do it in the beat of the music, so it doesn't really enhance anything. This is very rare actually. Not only in spins but also jumps. So few elements are perfectly fitted within the music... I'd say Wakaba is the most musical among the ones I've seen in this group so far. She doesn't only follow the rhythm, but also the mood, so the performance becomes dynamic. Most performances are flat from start to finish, although music does provide for some interesting interpretation.

Done! But only the ladies with the elements inserted c: Actually, having the bullet points right there helps (I was keeping the communication 2000 from ISU open anyways), because it becomes clear how objective bullet points are - how they should be given in an objective way. I don't know if a computer will ever be able to assign them (as Ambesi stated a couple of times), but next year, with the GOE's counting more, I hope there will be transparency about it.
-
It's okay, for Wakaba they're pretty similar to mine xDDDDDD So what should I do, "overwrite" mine over yours and then save?
-
I was just about to write you! I was about to enter Wakabby's scores, but there are yours already

I'm trying to add GOE's and PCS as I write! I've done Alina as of now, but how do I know others see it? I mean I'm not good at using Apps I'm not familiar with so I'm not sure... or do I have to export my judging just as the TP did?
-
Ah, got it. Still would like to know what kind of turn it is, but thanks for reminding me basic judging 101

Sorry, I have a very dumb question, will the experts on the TP @Xen or @Fay give me a hand; in the case of Radionova's SP, I see there is a turn right before her 3Loop, but since I can't identify it, and since it is only one, I am uncertain wheather is satisfies the requirements of preceding steps before solo jump. In general, the rulebook says it's supposed to be more steps/difficult steps and turns, and says: "Break between required steps/movements & jump/only 1 step/movement preceding jump -1 to -2", so in this case, Radionova's 3Loop should be getting from -1 to -2 because there is only one step before the jump. Is my reasoning correct? Edit: Got the explanation regarding the grading of the element - deduction, would still like to know what turn is it

I wish him a steady, slow recovery. He can start training quads in August and still be perfectly in time for GP series, which gives him 3 months of rehabilitation still. Together with the time he took after the Olys, it's almost double the time he had after NHK. He can do it, as long as he waits for the ankle to be fully healed, everything's going to be fine. Honestly, he can participate in Ice Shows how he is doing with Ciontu rn, which is skating without jumps. It would help his muscle maintaining and his rehab. Please Yuzuru! Take care

I tried judging Medvedeva's SP in Worlds 2017. I guess it wasn't that hard. Only negative GOE was on the combo. Because, you know, wrong edge or very unclear edge on Flip/Lutz jumps can get -1 to -2 GOE. And that wasn't inside edge really, you don't even need the slow mo!
-
I may have been making a montage of Chopin's StSeq at Olys and In the Hall of the Mountain King... and it MAY have ended up epic... and I MAY be posting it on youtube right now...
-
Yes but is anyone thinking about new costumes next year
-
The crescendo at 0:40... preparing for jump... and then at 0:50... NESSIE! And I would love for Yuzuru to unleash his demonic side with the mountain king... we know he's capable. EDIT: I REALLY REALLY NEED YUZU TO DO IN THE HALL ON THE MOUNTAIN KING. MOST EPIC. SHORT PROGRAM. EVER.

Sounds very Javi-sh in my ears xDDD

YEEEEEEEES. And I totally understand the feeling of the mind attaching to one song in particular and not letting go. I have a few Classical pieces that I would love for him to use. Stravinsky's Petrushka's russian march, piano version... ah... Ennio Morricone's music (which is kinda impossible because he doesn't give out the copyright to anyone... can't wait till he dies, really, so the copyright curse can go f*ck itself... he's crazy), also ahem.

Max isn't just a Yuzuru fanboy. Max is a Winter Sports specialist, ex-athlete, and professional commentator, and currently he is one of the few figure skating commentators from all around the world who has deep expertise and a completely unbiased technical perspective of the sport. He can talk lenghts about any competition since the beginning of the ISU, you give him a date, he will tell you all the names of the winners and the non-winners, who skated to what music, he has a terrific memory of all major happenings in the sport and can quote ISU rulebook by heart, but most of all he has an unparalleled passion for what he does, he cares about the sport being fair, he disdains any kind of affair happening behind the scenes that has nothing to do with the athletic performance delivered, he is understanding and even empathic with the athletes and never lets the nationality of an athlete influence his judgement, he will call bullshit when he sees it, and he does so pretty often. So, not only he couldn't care less about the hype that comes whenever he writes a tweet about Yuzuru. We should feel grateful that such an expert of the sport like him loves Yuzuru's skating so much, and the extents to which he goes to spread knowledge on how revolutionary Yuzuru's skating is should be further evidence on the objectivity of Yuzuru's greatness as a sportsman. (Everything I've said extends to Angelo as well, with the difference that Angelo doesn't use his social network accounts. They both are distinguished technical experts of the sport, although they do sometimes have different mindsets.) (Yes, you are talking with Max Ambesi's number 1 Fan. I'd start a blog only dedicated to him. He's given me a lot. If I can understand even the tiniest little thing about this sport, it's thanks to him.)

Reminds me of 2013-2014 Yuzuru Yes, in both cases I've seen him live (Worlds 2017 - Worlds 2018) he hasn't improved this a bit. He is very slow as much as he was a year ago. :c

I am not reading 20 pages of General thread today. Sorry, I just can't. But I think I didn't lose too much content, right?
