  1. Wow... he's really a person who brings inspiration. I remember a message from ANA after Boston (Who would've thought an airline company would write something as touching as this)...
  2. Didn't Brian once said that Japanese Nationals gave so much pressure that was probably equal or more to the Olympics? I can't imagine the pressure the Japanese ladies are feeling right now. They basically have to be foot perfect or as close as possible from the 1st competition they set foot in until nationals.
  3. Oh, why not? I can't seem to find any other video source
  4. It was a fun group number from The Ice 2011. (I thought he looked cute and awkward... hahaha)
  5. This is what happened with the men at JPN Nats in 2013 prior to Sochi #bloodbath. They had 3 spots though (Yuzu made sure of that) but it was still heartbreaking for Odaddy and Takahiko Kozuka. I can't imagine the pressure the ladies face with only 2 spots.
  6. Odaddy's Junior Worlds SP set to the Super Mario Bros theme - super fun choreography that shows off his personality.
  7. Sometimes, a piece of music is just linked to a certain performance in my brain. Torvill & Dean's Bolero come to mind. And this is why I can't enjoy any skater using Bolero because my mind just swaps the image with Torvill & Dean's performance. (Same goes for anyone using Yuzu's R+J1 music cuts).
  8. Do you have any favourite non-Yuzu skating routines? Please share the love here!
  9. Thank you! I didn't even have a right guess
  10. Hi mods! I want to start a thread for Non-Yuzu skating vids [Example: Torvill & Dean's Bolero]. Where would be the best place to put it? Igloo World or Space Junk?
  11. A Japanese photographer, Yutaka Nagakubo, was salty about it as well.
  12. Sunao Noto and Sendai coming thru for everyone during the ninja off season!
  13. I'm interrupting racoon-gate for some awesome tumblr post explaining turns & steps... If anyone's interested. Carry on! (Frankly, this is what I imagined that racoon at TCC is like )
  14. I've always been lowkey salty they never officially showed that ending pose. We only ever saw it on fancams..
  15. I'm 99% sure the 'Click, Boom!" would be his ending pose - it practically begs for it. Also, I knew someone from Team America would skate to Hamilton! I'm glad it's Jason.
  16. Nah... if you trace back on the thread it's always a mixture of serious and silly. hahaha ETA: I think you missed the great Chopin 3.0 debate. That was fun... haha...
  17. You have to do a side-by-side post!!!
  18. I have questions... like... why? (also, I kinda liked it... hahaha)
  19. He could go the R+J 2 route and play Christine - Boobskirt 2.0!
  20. Somehow, it really fits him well!
  21. Exactly how I feel. He did used to have a habit of looking down a lot (not as much now) and when he did this in H&L some people were quick to grab onto that little detail - "oh, he's back to his old habits! I hate it when he looks down!" Honestly, because of how introspective H&L is I felt it kind of fit the program. I must admit though that I tend to be more lenient with Yuzu mainly because there is no harsher critic for Yuzuru Hanyu than Yuzu himself. Which means, I know that he is aware of every little criticisms and is actively trying to find ways to improve - the way he now releases his foot in his Biellman is a great example. I'm actually more scared of the day when he is actually satisfied of a performance rather than saying he needs to practice more.
  22. Didn't the post said it would make some people happy? I don't think anybody would be happy with that
  23. I would not want to see what her inbox/ask/notifs (I dunno how tumblr works) because for sure she would've been bombarded with questions about Yuzu's FS.
  24. I just realised Keiji's doing a Yuzu Sochi 2014. SP is Gary Moore and FS is Nino Rota.
  25. He's actually been known to bombard any athlete with questions re: their own sports and always thinks of how the mechanics of their sports can help him (Ex: Kohei Ichimura & Kenzo Shirai in gymnastics, Hiroyasu Shimizu in speed skating, Noriaki Kasai in ski jumping) Also, he's always had that vision of jumps as part of the choreography but he prolly didn't expect to get such valuable advise from that talk and that's why he was overwhelmed.. like finally he could visualise how to do it.
