  1. If he is then it somewhat fits the Japanese Blood Type Personality theory... "Blood type AB is a hybrid of A and B, two different personalities mixed together. They are often seen as dual-natured and complicated. For example, they are shy like A types, but also are outgoing like type B. Blood type AB is the rarest in Japan (and many other places in the world, too), so they are hard to find. This reinforces the stereotype that AB people are are kawarimono 変わり者(かわりもの), or eccentric." - Japanese Blood Types Oooh! Any sources? Then that means I could donate blood to him or vice versa... hahaha
  2. Well, there isn't any official record but we have this statement: "The 4 people in the Hanyu family all have different blood types. Not sure if it’s due to that, all our personalities are different. Strong-willed me sometimes get into a trivial argument with Mum, my serious sister will go “maa-maa” [t/n. like “now, now” to calm things down] and tries to mediate, Dad will be watching with “today, whose side should I take to settle this matter”; it’s often this pattern. (laughs) Because our personalities are different, we recognise that and accept one another, unity is not a problem. Being all different, I think we are a very well-balanced family." From P&G Interview (1 June 2016) So, could be anything.
  3. Do you need a blood transfusion?

  5. 2012-13 season done! Personal thoughts: I was thinking that this was a lackluster transition season (despite the world records in the SP) but looking back he won his 1st national title and actually medalled in every competition except worlds (honestly, his FS score was underscored...).. I think I may have that perception because of NDP Speaking of NDP... in paper it should've been a good fit for Yuzu because it's dramatic music and he does well with those type. But I think there was a disconnect here. RJ2 had a similar choreography structure to NDP but worked better than NDP. Probably because he connected more to the music/story of RJ than NDP. I think, with Yuzu, he needs to be able to connect to the music. I wonder what would've happened if David Wilson agreed to do Phantom for him that season.... Also, I just found out I can't watch his world SP. Seems I really can't stand to see him so disappointed.
  6. I'm actually pretty curious now about the state of Nathan and Boyang's thighs... that sounded weird.

  8. I think this is where perception comes into play. For the longest time Yuzu's been described as thin, pencil-like, noodle-like... and honestly, when he was younger he did fit those descriptions. And for some reason it just carried on in people's mind up until the photo even though most of us (yuzu fans) have noticed starting this season that he has gained muscle. He's also photogenic with a small face, good style and beautiful skin (copyright Oda Nobunari ) and for some reason that doesn't equate with an athlete's body in a lot of people's minds. I think Boston really made him think seriously about health and nutrition and I'm glad he did.
  9. Ahem... speaking of figure skater's (particularly men quadsters), they do tend to have strong core muscles as well as thigh muscles (necessary to jump quad, I suppose). In the video at 2:05, they show Takahito Mura's abs and thigh muscles. Incidentally, wasn't there some hilarious commentaries by B.Esp uncle Chris Howarth from Glacier Ice Arena (where Shoma is trying to polish his jumps) regarding Shoma's thighs? Hmmmm...
  10. Dear Javi, Please keep this look. Many thanks, Me
  11. Nanami sensei... She must be so proud of him...
  12. Agree! His 3A was superb as well (well, that's not something new) - blink and you'll miss it!
  13. Hahaha.. Truthfully, I think it just got overshadowed by the epicness of R+J1 worlds. Etude costume was so good and really made for his spins...
  14. Interrupting Yuzu thigh talk with an update! 2011-2012 season done! Personal thoughts: Etude is really underrated. I really liked it and unfortunately the only 'perfect' performance is probably in COC - where the camera angles are notoriously not so good I can't find any video links for his SP at Japan Nationals. If anyone has one please send me a link I still cry when I watch R+J1 at worlds Also, please don't reply on the thread. I'll be updating it as the season progresses. If there's any questions/comments/suggestions pm me or call me out here in the general chat

Dunno if this is the correct place. But while compiling vids for the FaOI thread, I really go into the Finale song at Makuhari - Ra RA Ra by Ohguro Maki
  16. I didn't think my comment about his 3F was gonna cause some controversy. Honestly, I just found it funny because I haven't actually payed much attention to his earlier protocols. I thought when people say that he always got an edge call for his 3F, it was an exaggeration. I didn't realise it literally was ALWAYS. Well, for the 2010-2011 season anyway. I'll find out about succeeding seasons when I start gathering the data/links/vids.
  17. 2010-2011 season posted! Personal thoughts: Zigeunerweisen is really boring (Sorry zuzu and Nanami-sensei ) He got an edge call for ALL his 3F (SP & FS in ALL his competitions) He had such squishy cheeks
