@SitTwizzle I don't know if it works the same for your browser, but if I wanna embed a tweet, after pasting the link I click on "display as image instead" (or something like that) and could you maybe add the [*NEWS] tag (without the *), so it will go in the News&updates thread more easily? Edited because I was tagging this post as news

praying that everything will be as smooth as it can be

Pino-san also uploaded. This fandom is so fast! [NEWS] yeah, that part made me sad for him, and what a tough choice he's made, and mad at JSF and everyone else who, instead, seem not to care at all about this

thank you for sharing your thoughts on the exhibition @Yukok glad to know it was organized with all preventive measures in place (not that I doubted it, I felt they'd care about that issue, but good to have confirmation). ohhh this is was my thought too, when I learned about the initiative. Light of hope indeed

Virtual Pooh Rain for Japanese Nationals 2019 (Hashtag discussion)
EisElle replied to yuzuonice's topic in Yuzuru Hanyu
whoa that was fast I like both #PoohRain4Yuzu and #PoohRainForYuzu, the other one a little bit less. For JNats... I don't have a preference. It would be lovely to know if jpn fandom is already thinking about something like this (other than the official hashtags for JNats and the more classic Yuzu-kun etc) -
IMO they probably mean to expand on their russian cup, and they could easily invite a few foreign skaters like they have already done. I don't expect it will be a Euros bis, otherwise ISU could have just announced they were moving Euros to Russia, instead of announcing cancellation (though maybe it can be like a Challenger, if they can get international judging panel and enough foreign skaters). So, probably it will be just another hybrid semi-domestic comp, that will keep skaters stressed out "motivated" I would have preferred if, instead, Rusfed had taken Euros cancellation as a chance to postpone RusNats, so all those skaters who had flu and pneumonia after RC didnt' have to rush back to training

Idk the behind the scenes in Canada before WC cancellation, but my feeling was that all the nonsensical last-minute additions were more on ISU+AriZ than on Canadian authorities, and Canadian authorities in the end had to step down and made the call to cancel. Then they also cancelled several other FS events in Canada, GP included, so it's choerent that they are wary of WC in Sweden, especially if it's gonna be organized with a joke of a "bubble" (I wonder if such radical claims are a way to hint to organizers to do somehting more) I still can't see Sweden being cautious. Apparently swedish medical personnel is still recommanding washing hands but not talking about the risks of aerosol spread (which, in cold indoor environment with poor ventilation, is a major source of concern) If organizers won't think about addressing that specific issue, I don't see how WC can be remotely safe, even without audience. And I'm not even starting abut how ludicrous a "bubble" concept is without requiring teams to self-isolate themselves once they arrive in Sweden. Especially in early days of infeciton, tests can give false negative, so testing people just before and after arriving to the designated bubble-hotel is a severely lacking strategy. I fear a half-assed bubble is exaclty the concept they'll go for, to "show" they care with minimal effort(and minimal planning and expenses) LMAO Also, of course he had to be the one who speaks out loud the truth we already knew, that PCS caps are only for common people, not for the Chosen one(s)... Anyway, I'm happy that ISU finally had ot let go of *gpf*. Also glad they cancelled Euros. Now, if only JSF could stop trying to compete with rusfed for worst decision-making and give up on audience at Nats.. (not likely, if they had any intention to do so, with current situation in Japan they would have announced it already)

thank you for the website, scrolling through all the wishes and fanworks the happiness just keeps growing and adding again ('cause it' never too much) HAPPY 26th BIRTHDAY YUZU!!!!!! One year ago I was celebrating his 25th bday together with all satellites in Turin & him (and there was a huge bit of kuyashii attached to the ISU being clowns). The previous two YuzuBdays I experienced as fan, the "celebrations" where all virtual and with Yuzu being MIA, just like this time. But this time at least there's the hope that our ninjaYuzu is healthy and happily celebrating his bday in his favourite place with his loved ones close and doing his fave things (and probably eating his fave foods prepared by his fave cook, too) I'm sure he knows that so many people, everywhere, are celebrating with him and that he's quietly gathering all those precious thoughts within himself. May all the well-wishes and outpouring of love become his strenght! We love you Yuzu, and it doesn't matter if you are in front of our eyes or hidden in your comfy cave, we'll support you because you're worthy Thank you satellites, everyone for the amazing celebration

[POLL] Vote for your favourite birthday-themed icon!
EisElle replied to yuzuonice's topic in Yuzuru Hanyu
me, looking at all the lovely designs me, realizing I must pick only one me, thinking waiting a few days will make the choice easier me, surrendering at last and letting a random draw do the choice for me me, kuyashii already one millisec after submitting the vote, because why only allowed to vote one? thank you to all the designers -
And the mysterious pneumonia keeps spreading... I'm running out of facepalms for rusfed. AND for skaters too, tbh. While authorities pretending all is good can certainly make people more careless, at this point, so many months into a pandemic, I expect more personal responsability than what I've been seeing. There's a respiratory virus around (and one that keeps proving how easily it can overhelm healthcare systems, if it's left run unchecked). How hard it is to understand that you should NOT share the friggin air you breath with others? (and if you must share air, at least filter through proper masks). Skaters attending health hazard events because they're pressured to compete there, I can still understand. But private parties are a choice.

(I've read that S/K had "fever" too, but I can't seem to find the sources so take that as rumour) I must say, the timing of all these" pneumonia" and other ailments is highly suspicious. Especially since earlier in the season covid+ were found left and right but now, suddenly, so many russian skaters are sick but no covid+ anymore? And this while covid cases are soaring again in Russia? Also, even admitting all those people really aren't covid+ and there's just some other pathogen spreading like wildfire in their ranks, protocols to avoid covid should work in reducing spread of any other respiratory disease too (common flu even has lower ability to spread, so precautions should work a lot better), so the fact that everyone keeps getting sick left and right (and apparently with more severe symptoms than what happened in sept/october) it means that... 1) the covid protocols are laughable or 2) no one bothers to follow them. In both cases, that ISU let COR happen in those conditions says (once more) how (little) they care about actual prevention (looking how they held a completely unnecessary indoor banquet, without masks and social distancing, I think it's a most likely combo of both) (If WC goes on as it's likely IMO, one will have to trust that Swedish authorities will be stricter than Russians, 'cause ISU won't bother. And currently I don't really trust Sweden as much as I'd trust, say, South Korea or China or even Canada) Not surprising that S/K got a bye for Nats, Rusfed is ruthless but not that dumb. But this also mean that, just as I thought, Vika didn't really need to skate on injured knee in that russian cup stage some weeks ago... I'm doubtful that Zhenya can get a similar bye tbh, she had the worst of luck this whole summer/autumn but tbh she is in a different position (SK are Euro champs, russian top team and they did compete and won RC), so Rus fed has less reasons to "protect" her... and most important, would she even be fit and well trained in one month? Going to nats in the condition she was in at test skates would hardly be good for herbody (if she won't be at Nats her place in the national team is even more up in the air) Hope all skaters with pneumonia fever/colds/injured knees/backs will recover (and that fed people will finally start caring about them)

Yes I made it in time! (Hopefully there won't be typos... it took me entirely too long to realize I had written start instead of stars) my pic/message for Yuzu (featuring my previously non-existing photoshopping skills and my freshly-acquired gold marker! ok I used a bit the silver pen too, sorry Zu, but the silver marker happened to be brighter than the gold one) and here's a vid As always, thank you guys for organizing all of this
