Not the first time Phil mentions Yuzu btw — I think I saw a clip of him and Dan Howell (on Dan's channel iirc) reviewing something and I think it was Phil again (or Dan? I forgot ) who said "...Yuzu who?..." and then they moved on to another topic to talk about. It made quite the rounds too 😆

At this point Yuzu might as well skate for Belgium, and the Belgian Fed would absolutely push him the way JSF would never think of doing... (I absolutely jest, but hey, maybe he thinks of getting his first Euros title??? lmao )

Definitely made up (re: Yuzu and Zhenya) but yeah (baseless) speculation abound and Misha Ge definitely felt no scruples on capitalizing on that *speculation*...

I never thought I'd see the day where PChiddy redeems* himself in regards to Yuzu, and Javi does... *waves hands franticly* this... *I know, it's not like Chiddy is now completely on Yuzu's side, but at least he begrudges Yuzu less now (if not thinking of him more neutrally), so one less person who thinks of Yuzu unfavourably, at least (unlike say, the retired US skaters that frequents the media around this Olys time and some time else). And I know that while Yuzu and Javi might not truly be best buds, they were at least in friendly terms with one another. But to see him act like this now... (...the audacity! 😒🙄😤)

This is just my personal observation and opinion on why JSF "hates" Yuzu, a lot of ink has already been spilled by a lot of people here but I think I could still add (or at least reiterate) a few points here... (welp, apologies, this was ramblier than I thought. I hope it's still clear enough though 🙈)

See, this is nature's wrath upon injustice levelled on Yuzu! (yes I jest, though probably merely in part...)

GodandYuzusanklespermitting I have the same thought actually . It might not only be a shits and giggles arc, the next quad, it might even be full-blown Revenge arc. Yuzu is an Angel to us, but to others (you know who particularly) he is a Monster, and I say, if he wants a round of revenge to avenge himself from this pain, then so be it. Go for it. Unleash not just the Nessie, but the Divine Monster that will engulf every doubters and bad faith actors in cleansing fire. Let them feel the wrath of the Divine Monster — they are asking for it! (...just to be clear I know that in reality this is very unlikely to happen, and whichever decision Yuzu make, I am ready to support him 💙💙💙)

You can call me a bitter fanyu for this but as someone who tried to give his skate a chance I am afraid that you'd find little other than cross-cross-crossover jump, cross-cross-crossover jump, bare minimum amount of steps and barely qualifying spins and bow after finishing the skate. Not to mention his off ice attitude... (I mean w/e people change but just look at this last quad, he had every opportunity to do so but did he do it?? ...no. no he didn't). You can still think well of him despite everything, I suppose

Oh for sure this is a possible option . Still missing live feedback from the audience though (and I also thought of his comps pre-pandemic, which is why I thought of the regular ice shows). The *stream* might need to go both ways — Yuzu with his performance and us viewers with messages to him (and not just written messages too, voice messages even , to substitute for the usual scream and cheer after his every performance ). Might be jarring for him as well initially (especially if he skates in an empty rink — only him and the filming crew) but I hope it is enough to give him the love he usually gets from after his comp performances. ...and oh! Think also of the possible camera work — Yuzu might choose a camera work akin to the On Ice Perspective camera work, not to mention aerial camera too! The possibility expands... 😏

During the last Olys I was worried if Yuzu was going to retire anytime soon, what with his harrowing injury and all. When he returned to compete in the next season I sighed in relief (though we all know how the next quad unfolded for him...to say that it was a tough road was an understatement ). This time I am completely at peace with the possibility of him retiring (though he said earlier in the season that his *peak* is yet to come... but realistically speaking... *sigh* ...we just have account for every possibility, including retirement 😔). It only took 4 years(!) until I can comfortably accept this 🤪. Perhaps now my only worry is that if his post-comp performance would feel less thrilling to him compared to performing in competitions (which I half suspect is the reason why he keeps on competing all this time, aside from chasing landed, ratified 4A). On one hand I support him to feel the thrill from comps (as he chase for Nessie), but on the other hand I now wish he can be thrilled enough with performing in ice shows*, sure to be adored by us his loving fans 💙 (and away from the chicanery of ISU and USFSA 😒😒🙄) *...not in this current health climate ofc, who knows when one can do ice shows like in pre-pandemic time again but yeah...

I found this on twitter and it's simply too heartwarming — it's all the people who have helped Yuzu on his glacial path

...welp, at least your other interest is "current", I recently gained interest in reading about American Civil War (yeah, I know, another incendiary topic to be interested in ), and I have to try my hardest not to compare the USFSA to a certain obsolete political structure... (Well now that I write this I am not sure if the focus on current events is better than focusing on the past... Oh well, that's all I have on this. As for another hobby, I do knit, and yeah, that should help me give happy thoughts, I think...)

I haven't said anything on Yuzu at JNats but I am glad that my wish (ie. Yuzu skated Tenchi cleanly no matter how he landed the 4A) came true. So happy for Yuzu

...also why do many people think that he'd have new costume for Tenchi as well? (...did he announce it? Did I miss something??) (...I am pretty content with his current Tenchi costume, well maybe add a little structure on the shoulder area and we're good to go~~)
