  1. Im starting to think ppl wont take this twitter acct seriously LOL
  2. Well he did do like a 6 quads thing, right? so I see why he got that much points because we all know how judging works. Actually the idea of the new scoring system does help bc bad landings and falls are more costly and good landings supposedly get rewarded more points. BUT the danger lies on how the judge scores these skaters. So even if the skaters get wonky landings as long as its not a visible fall, some might still get positive GOEs at the mercy of the judges and tech panel. So potential scores for bad landings in the new system could still get more points if the judges decide to give postive GOEs. scary
  3. Ohh I didnt know they only take 2 highest for ISU championships. So glad to be corrected as it gives Yuzu a higher chance.
  4. Secretly, it matters to me just because I would love to see his greatness gets reflected and just because it looks cool with the streak. But of course I understand his greatness isn't based solely on this. now that I think about it, maybe the reason Shoma wanted to win so badly at 4CC was to secure his world standing? regardless, it'd be interesting to see the results this season. It's such a shame these last two seasons have been once again plagued with injuries for Yuzu that he couldn't compete enough to garner points for this season year end world standing. hopefully he could at least get season's best. http://www.isuresults.com/ws/ws/wsmen.htm Here is the current world standing. Points for top three standings for worlds. Basically assuming Yuzu, Shoma, and Nathan will podium at Worlds this year, you can just add these points to their current points. 1) 1200 2) 1080 3) 972 Say if the results are 1) Yuzu 2) Nathan 3) Shoma final standing will be: 1) Shoma = 5996 2) Nathan = 5882 3) Yuzu = 5740 Say if the results are 1) Nathan 2) Shoma 3) Yuzu final standing will be: 1) Shoma = 6104 2) Nathan = 6002 3) Yuzu = 5512 Say if the results are 1) Shoma 2) Yuzu 3) Nathan final standing will be: 1) Shoma = 6224 2) Nathan = 5774 3) Yuzu = 5620 Say if the results are 1) Shoma 2) Nathan 3) Yuzu final standing will be: 1) Shoma = 6224 2) Nathan = 5882 3) Yuzu = 5512 Say if the results are 1) Yuzu 2) Shoma 3) Nathan final standing will be: 1) Shoma = 6104 2) Nathan = 5774 3) Yuzu = 5740 Say if the results are 1) Nathan 2) Yuzu 3) Shoma final standing will be: 1) Nathan = 6002 2) Shoma = 5996 3) Yuzu = 5620 You see, Yuzu has no chance of being 1st or 2nd if all three of them podium. So for Yuzu to be 1st, he has to place 1st at Worlds, Shoma has to place 6th, and Nathan has to place 4th. All of this is pretty unlikely. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong.
  5. Yeah I'm worried too. In a perfect world, any other skater's 4-6 quad layout should not win over Yuzu's perfect 4 quad and 2 3a layout because the quality of a program Yuzu puts out as a whole deserves to win over anything. Because honestly a 5-6 quad layout is basically a jumping session where transitions, choreo, interpretation, and perf would all get sacrificed and the jumps would always look telegraphed. Even a 3 or 4 quad layout for many other skaters had gotten this effect. So unless you're Yuzuru Hanyu, who does crazy transitions, makes his jumps (including 4 quads and 2 3as) as part of the choreography, moves along with every beat of the music, makes everything look effortless in 4 minutes, your PCS and TES SHOULD NOT be increasing at the same time. But we all know, including Yuzu, that the real figure skating world is far from perfect where PCS and TES are correlated, undeserving skaters getting 9s and 10s in PCs like nothing, and imperfect quads rewarded with +5 GOEs. This is why I always laugh when people downgrade Yuzu's programs bc they aren't a 5 or 6 quad programs. I'm like sure Yuzu could easily do a 5-6 quad program and thats how his training sessions basically look like. You might be seeing some crazy sequences too. But he doesnt want to sacrifice the quality of his program for just the jumps. So unless he is ready to balance both the tech and perf altogether, he would not want a 5 or 6 quad program. So many younger skaters today have sacrificed their performances for higher TES because that's the only thing they could do and the only way to win. If Yuzu does a 5 or 6 program in that manner, he would be unbeatable but I guess he doesn't want to and doesn't need to. But I really dont think other quadsters could do a 2 or 3 quad program with the quality of POTO or Seimei. Anyhow, my point is Yuzu will do anything to win in his fashion but it is honestly up to the judges in whether to score it right or not, and I doubt they would. So at this point when Nathan and Shoma are already getting higher PCS (for not improving) and Yuzu not getting much of that a PCS or GOES cushion, one could only hope Nate and Shoma wont be clean.
  6. LOL I feel bad realizing you could have seen him at Skate Canada!! tho I am worse bc even after I stanned him I couldnt go to ACI this season
  7. OMG haha you see if 2012 Romeo could make you this helpless, it's no point of return for all of us who got hit by his Olympic perfs (not to say Romeo was by any mean a downgrade bc it was one of my favorites) And oooohh hi five for the unpopular opinion bc i love white LGC
  8. LOL sorry we cant even help ourselves so I guess let's just go down together welcome, by the way! hmmm honestly all of his clean skate would have given the same effect but for me it was Sochi Parisienne Walkways so I'd go with that? "Why did it take me so long to discover him?" <---- this question is my lifelong question as well. I wasted my entire youth on watching kpop when I could have stanned this GOAT
  9. I think even if he was back on ice around December that wouldnt be considered training. He could be doing rehab at the time to get a sense of skating back. Also, I don't think that would have given him enough time to train for a competition.
  10. Okay thanks for clarifying what you intended to say. I guess text could really get lost in translation and I could be too sensitive as well. Trust me I am just as pessimistic. I am actually super worried which is why I am coming up with so many possibilities in my head. I have been keeping my expectation real low to put that pressure off myself and off of Yuzu. I feel like I want it to come but, at the same time, fear it is gonna be either the best or worst day of my life haha its how pessimistic I am. I don't think he will ever debut a -3loop or 4a, at least not at this point. I am not even sure if he would bring the 4loop, 4t3a, 3lz or 3flip back. But I was thinking that would be the layout that would garner the most points without adding a fifth quad... and since Yuzu is who he is, we can never expect what he would do. And I would love for him to prove me wrong. I honestly hope that he could maybe train a -3loop combo in the future just so it gives him more combo possibilities and he wont have to risk adding a new quad or seq...and honestly i feel like the layout i suggested makes more sense (get rid of the 3lz and put back the 3loop if u will) its too silly going back to that 4t3a when its not giving him as much points. but urghh again thats my mind again and im not his haha
  11. This isnt Yuzu related but if anyone has rika kihira's gpf short program with BESP commentary could u share? Thanks!
  12. what a moment to have the top athletes in the same frame. and lol at Yuzu suavely making his way over to Shoma
  13. oh thanks. this is why i think he has to bring back 4loop 4loop 4sal 3lz 4T 4S3T* 3aeu3S* 3a2t*
  14. yeah i dont doubt him doing a 3f or 3lz i was saying it bc someone had dismissed it. if he ditches both 4t3a and 4loop, what would you suggest his layout to be? I think he wouldnt want to give up the 4quads 2 triple axels layout maybe 4S 4T 3Lz 3A 4S3T* 4Teu3S* 3a2T* its gonna be hard to ditch that 4loop if he isnt leading after the sp really. he knows his competitors really well. i just dont think he will get home inflation as much as people think and if he does shoma would too. i didnt think shoma could actually be better after his injury but he proved me wrong. everyone is going to bring their A games here lol *whispers* but remember someone was like if he isnt getting positive goes on it it means nothing. jk yeah i agree its kinda a wow factor element but isnt worth sacrificing for here. i think he will bring back those TR. its gonna be a darn packed program. he might do a biellman too yeah that 4loop is what im hoping for. competing is his life as he said many times so even if he has to take a lot of painkillers he might do it in order to win :( you can though. i appreciate you corrected the first layout i presented by reminding me about the rules, but the tone you gave off appeared as if you are being dismissive and factual when i simply presented my personal opinions. since this isnt a debate out of good faith i shall move on
  15. Yes, we can say he wont do a 3lz or a 3flip or a 4a but honestly we never know and i wont dismiss a possibility thats doable for him. people didnt even think he would be doing 4T3Aseq even when they saw his practice during media day. people didnt think he could even compete at pc but he won and even did a 4loop in practice. people didnt think he would put the 4t3t in the second half of the short after 1 comp but he did. we really don't know what he had trained for or what his busted ankle could up to. itits not like im saying he'd do a 4a combo. Im not saying this is his layout im presenting an optimized layout that IS doable for someone like him. cant hurt to just guess around for the fun of it
  16. The eu is actually counted as a jump tho urghh well i think he could create connecting steps to bring more speed into that 3F. its not impossible. he could do a 3A3Lo if thats possible instead of 3Aeu3s. I mean yeah its not common but not totally undoable. he seems to not want to lose bv by doing doubles but if he could do 3 jump combo it could help
  17. Bringing this back bc i cant sit still with literally 4 weeks left until worlds In order to get the most optimized layout yet doable at this point i think this is the ideal layout. of course we cant change what yuzu is planning but i just messed around with the app and came up with 4lo 4Sal FCoSp4 StSq4 3F 4T 2nd half 4S3T 3Aeu3S 3A2T2Lo ChSq1 FCSSp4 CCoSp4 Max value assuming 100 PCS and all + 5 GOE = 232.42
  18. Guyss this app is so interesting and fun! We can be our own judge using this app while streaming live competitions to compare how the scores could have been I did a Yuzu's max scores (helsinki layout) meanwhile if this is his layout, he'd get higher score
  19. Thanks @sallycinnamon for hosting it for us! It was so fun and reminiscing!
  20. Yeah that is true. I was actually trying to think of the music edits too before knowing about the new rules. Maybe its good bc the current layout is perfect for what it's trying to achieve. its been 3 months so we never know what other "classified information" Yuzu has backstage with Otonal and Origin. But starting from scratch might not be a great idea with Yuzu since he is know for building up his programs and not rebuilding them. It means he's already got a good draft to start with. lol funny how it actually works against Alina seeing her meltdown in the free this season now that theres this rule. jk its deeper than this
  21. ah wth i need to learn more about these new rules. thanks. too bad ill never see the chopin layout again.
  22. This is so OT and just because its almost 1 month left until Worlds, but what do you guys think about if Yuzu would put the 3A in the second half of the short to up his BV. Like last season chopin's layout. I mean its just .80 points higher and increase with GOE but thats still a way to maximize his points for worlds. Looking at the current state of his competitors, Nathan and Boyang (who is peaking), they might encourage him to do something to ensure that sp cushion. I'm thinking 110 for an imperfect SP from COR can mean a 112 for a perfect SP +1 home inflation (I have a feeling it won't get that much inflation) so around 113 for a perfect SP with his current layout. If he puts the 3a in the second half it would be around 114. This will hopefully take some of that pressure off to leave out the 4loop in the free. Yeah its kinda pointless guessing his game plan but I'm so darn curious about how kuyashii he is at the moment
  23. https://skatingportal.com/videos/2013-worlds-yuzuru-hanyu-cut/ Can we gif this please. the most discreet smirk
