I agree! Someone do a video to include all the beautiful choreos and the landed jumps from ACI & Helsinki please lol At this rate, seeing how packed Origin is and how he had to sacrifice several things to complete his elements, I don't want him to add the 4A to this program. Yeah, it'd be more costly to bomb it in a short program, but if he bombed in the free, he'll probably bomb the rest of his skate.

The madness restarts

Yeah I remember that and I see where you're coming from. But I always felt like he was addressing the Japanese community. With the korean media, its just no use and I actually find it easier to fence off false rumours. Theres no point to argue about it when its not even true. I also dont know how big figure skating still is in Korea after Kim Yuna retired to impact the fandom. Figure skating is more of a national sport in Japan so it has much more impact on Yuzu and he can read about it more regularly. I heard some Japanese dont like his competitive attitude so I just thought it could be more about that than about others who spread malicious rumours about him.

Yeah tbh the reason I joined Planet is because [Admin edit: Please don't generalize groups of FS fans.]. I also think Planet has some of the most rational fans. Its a safe haven to enjoy Yuzuru and what other skaters do on the ice. Let's not rant about the haters. Not everyone will love Yuzu and they will just spread malicious things about him. But as long as it doesnt affect his achievement and he doesnt care about it, Im totally not going to waste my energy on them

[Admin edit: Please don't generalize groups of FS fans.] I suggest we not care much about them. They really put Yuzu on idol level scrutiny when we all know he sees himself as an athlete foremost. He cares most about his country and how he can win for them so I dont really think he will be upset that the korean community hates him..I read a lot of worse hate about him by the korean fans before so this isnt all that surprising. I wouldnt be surprised if they think he bullies Jun

Yup, it's Vũ Sinh Kết Huyền

I do think we will be able to see the best of origin once he has enough experience to build stamina under the 4 min layout. He is a perfectionist and im sure he rewatches his programs more than we do. He knows whats good and whats not. There are things he has to sacrifice to win. He is super strategic and it shows when he skated last weekend. He was reserving a lot of energy during the step sequence in order to finish those jumps. He knows he needed a watered down layout first and then build upon it for Worlds.

LOL at all the weird names. Its funny because he has his Vietnamese translated name and its beyond beautiful. It roughly means a person "born in the middle of a storm but is as strong as a bow". but we still refer to him as Yuzuru Hanyu. Anyway, it was a heck of a weekend I had. Messed up sleeping cycle but totally worth it..Now I have enough supply for 2 weeks of wait before GP COR

He def wants it. He said he doesnt need to be the first one but he would like to land it in competition. But I dont believe that statement. He may have meant it when he said it but knowing his competitive nature, he wouldnt be happy if he isnt the first one. I think he does have his priorities tho, like how he said he wants to perfect his programs first. I do believe he will wait after nationals since the skaters who have announced they want to land it arent really real threats to him.
-
Thats too risky! I dont want him to try it if its only 20% successful. If he can land it perfectly the following seasons I will take that any day! That also means he will continue to skate for a couple seasons haha!! but I doubt he has that patience.

While he skated sorta clean today, I think with a perfect skate Origin will grow more on me. But I miss the original choreo and steps. I still dont think a perfect Origin with the new layout will beat Seimei or H&L as a fave Free for me but we will see.

His reactions always give me life. the LGC was the best

Looking at these two preaching the truths Regarding #3, I honestly dont know how he can still peak. I really wonder if say he isnt retiring any time soon, will we get to see that Yuzuru surpassing Yuzuru moment again like how he did from 2014 to 2015? Literally took the sport and himself to a new level with Seimei and Chopin. Not just about getting consistently high scores or winning a competition, but actually improve. I mean I guess its hard because he is already maxing out his PCs and after so many injuries, other than his goals of landing the 4T3A and 4A, I dont know think they could go higher than a 4 clean quads and 2 triple axels combos. Not sure if quint is a possible jump for now and I dont think we will see it in his competitive career. To surpass himself, what do you think he can do anymore. Another thing is, even if he could still surpass himself, I'm afraid judges still wont give him what he would deserve unless even if he shows intention in competing for the next Olympic season.

official words from the coach "Yuzuru Hanyu's coach Brian Orser says the double Olympic champion will not attempt a quad Axel at the ISU Grand Prix event in Finland." https://www.olympicchannel.com/en/stories/news/detail/hanyu-fever-hits-helsinki/

He added another part from 1:29 - 1:37 ( in the original music he would have jumped at the 1:24) and from 2:40, he went straight into his spin. You can see that here he jumped the combo at 1:47, and at 2:56, the ending was slightly longer (hated the original music transition sorry I kept repeating this LOL) At Helsinki, he went straight to the 3:03 mark --- p.s. anyone noticed he changed his final spin to the crossfoot variation he usually does? I actually prefer it
-
Clearly Swanyu is the superior twin
-
Its only Helsinki GP practice and I love the changes already!! I think he is putting the combos in the 2nd half. Better music, better skin, better SE!

Please join our madness here

lol sorry I actually wasnt serious when I said that and it wasnt meant to label his character or anything. I was just making a case to say we cant trust what he says infront of the media. He is very strategic and a smart person to do that. It shows he manages himself well. I like how he is unpredictable

But this is a planned layout so I dont know how faithful he would be to it. I mean yeah it sure looks like 4T3A is the sequence he wants to show off first, which was def not telegraphed until the recent ACI practice. The 4A has been getting too much attention for the rest of his program's sake. Even if he's not doing the 4A, he might shift things around if he popped a quad. Say if he popped the 4S, the 3F3T could turn into a 4S3T. He's a liar, he said he wouldnt do any flip this season and look who is here? He said he wouldnt do any quad lutz in 2017/2018 but he did. He planned the 4Loop for 2017/2018 but only did it once in the season. So when he said he would bring 4A this season or its not even part of the planned layout, I dont know which one to believe lol with Yuzu you will never know until last minute and thats the best thing about him. It's so fun..he is the king of improvision because he is so talented he can afford to change things around any time. this guy

eyebrows game's strong here

Yeah that doesnt sound like something Yuzu would know how to say. it sounds too native?
