    That's ridiculous and hugely unsustainable, environmentally and financially. I think as the number of possible Winter Olympics venues gets smaller and smaller in the next few decades due to global warming, they will need to change something soon. They're already having a hard time finding countries/cities to want to host the Olympics; that number is only going to shrink as countries become unable to, or don't feel they gain much from it, anymore.

    Yeah that's why you have to dry the blades down (doesn't have to be 100% dry bc usually there's condensation, but mostly dry) with a towel right after skating!

    I wipe my skates down with a towel and then put the soakers on until the next time I'm skating. If you put the soakers on before you wipe down the blades, they could rust.

    Summary of that ISU meeting: seems like GPs are canceled, but JGPs are not, which makes no sense? And sounds like Challengers will still go on, but without prize money or something. And Worlds allocations will be based on those of 2020 Worlds, which kinda sucks because remember how they just changed the TES mins last minute? Now some skaters can't even go to the Worlds before the Olympics to fight for spots. Unless they can get in via minimums they get this season which...well, how many competitions are being held and can they even train/travel...
