    The problem with this is that Shoma has to either do SC/NHK as well or do NHK+new GP which is very hard -- back to back AND different continents. So either Shoma also does SC/NHK or Yuzu can't do SC/NHK.

This GP will be back to back with NHK. So if it is in Europe highly unlikely Yuzu will go. If this is true then Yuzu will go to NHK+IDF, I think. And Shoma will do Skate Canada+NHK. Kolyada will do New GP + Rostelecom. And Nathan will do Skate America + IDF.

    The Japanese judges just do not know how to play this game Which I commend them for, tbh, because at least we know when Yuzu wins, he wins fair and square. Winning Worlds/Olys from extremely controversial judging is something skaters will have to carry forever....

    The top 3 in the world need to be in different GPs, so every GP needs to have one of the three. So yeah, one of Kolyada, Shoma, or Nathan needs to be at NHK.

    It's just the fact that if Kolyada doesn't go to NHK (and he won't if he goes to COR - back to back AND different continents), JSF has to invite Shoma or Nathan. Do you think they rather invite Nathan than Shoma? Either way, whether or not they invite Yuzu, I believe they'd rather invite Shoma lol.

    Agreed, Shoma is almost 100% sure of getting NHK. I do think it's possible that Yuzu will also get it.

    I think after every Olympics, retirements come and the end always feels more imminent, which scares and upsets people. I know I get upset thinking about it. So it's mostly wishful thinking on most of our parts, I guess
