I thought we already knew no 4Lz tomorrow (it'll be a 3Lz instead) but I'm hoping this isn't a general no 4Lz at all 'cause Yuzu isn't sure on it. With this kind of SP, he can have the margin for the 4Lz in these coming competitions to test it out.
-
So what is it, 4Lz or no 4Lz? Make up your mind from interview to interview, Brian!
-
JSF can still shuffle entries for the last JGP so they don't both go to the same events, in order to maximize their chances. Of course, they'll still have to contend with at least two Russian girls per event but: fingers crossed for both of them!
-
Patrick is out of the Nebelhorn entries. I'm worried.
-
He got his levels!!
-
I wonder, though, if he spent one week resting it away from practice, does it still hurt now like it did...?
-
I guess Brian is lowering expectations based on the fact Yuzu didn't have much practice these past several days so he's 'rusty'. And isn't doing 'hard' jumps.
-
Yeah, me too!
-
It does in the purple pants of LGC.
-
I don't think he's doing a 4Lz either. He's doing triples version of both these quads in his FS.
-
It was something he was practicing but I'm not sure he is adding it, when he's already adding a quad to his SP. He didn't show any hints of it at the summer Onyx competition where he first did his new programs. But neither did Javi at his FS practice yesterday of the 4Lo, so maybe they won't add any new quads this season.

Thank you @kaeryth for being so much better at this memory thing than I am. Completely missed both the location and the timeline! It all blurs together.

How can he leave holes on the ice with his toe pick when he doesn't even seem like he is hitting it that hard? Question of perception, of course he is hitting it hard. What was the arena back in the day where he apologized for ruining the ice due to his 4Ts? I think it was in Finland, back in his early senior days?

How many men are bringing in new quads to Olympic season again? Yuzuru (4Lz) Shoma (4S.... tbc 4Lz?) Nathan (4Lo) Aliev (4Lz) Samarin (4Lz) Vincent (4F) Javi (tbc 4Lo?) Maybe? Patrick (tbc 4F?) Who am I missing? And who said Olympics was the time to play safe!?

I thought that was the plan too, since he did the SE 4S at practice, but that was until this article mentioned 3Lo in both programs (unless google translate deceives me). We'll see in tomorrow's practice.
-
Correction, he might do 3Lo instead of 4Lo for the SP too, not just the FS. So he might do only one quad for his SP. Source

Draw order for ACI SP:

Apparently the issue with his knee is training fatigue, possibly caused by the 4Lo (the low knee take off might make it worse than 4Lz) but it doesn't require treatment, probably just rest. Can someone do a better translation? Edit:

Yay!

I like the medals (especially Gold) from this angle a lot more:

I wonder if a 4Lo puts some extra strain on the right knee, more so than a 4Lz.
-
That would be such a Nathan thing to do.
-
I could imagine the simpler layout is to replace the 4T-1Lo-3S for the 3A version as well as maybe 3 quads a la original Seimei, and IF his knee is okay, go for the solo 4T for 4 quads. Otherwise, 3Lo?
