So Tomoki HIWATASH (USA) was replaced in Poland. He's now a substitute there and in Italy. I wonder if they took him out to allow Camden better chances to podium, but at the same time I'm not sure if they'll place him at Italy against Andrew. I guess since he only has a bronze and no 3A, they're just removing him to give better chances to others to podium. That not to think of something like injury that may have lead to his removal from his second JGP assignment.

If Yuzu had just taken the 3Lz pop in stride instead of worrying about it, he might have just continued with the normal planned watered down layout. It's not like it was the Olympics and he was up against his rivals at a most important competition and had to make up for a pop (well, there was Javi, but a 3 quad FS would still have worked fine!). But going back to 3 quads must have smarted something fierce in him.

Boy did it ever. Hope he takes it easy before COR. Last time he was this kuyashii he worked like mad and broke some records, but also probably aggravated his left foot injury. So.... errr... Brian and Tracy, keep him in check. Which I think they are, if they're keeping him at only one 4Lo per training session.

I don't either. I was just amusing myself with the popcorn. This is only normal, in an Olympic season, especially with Yuzu's razor focus on that OGM. Plus Javi does explain it a bit more about how the training apart sometimes is good for the internal pressure one might feel when training directly with your greatest competition.

LOL if ISU and IOC people were watching Yuzu, I hope they watched the SP only. Or at least both.

Technically, with an SP like he had at ACI and a FS like Helsinki, yeah. But Yuzu is competitive and he also doesn't want to give other skaters too much of a headstart on BV. Thing is, can he be better with the 4Lz than without?

Something else I take from these words is that Brian doesn't seem particularly keen on the 4Lz yet. I wonder if the success rate of clean runthroughs lowered quite a bit once Yuzu added the 4Lz...

I am so confused at this thread. But falling!Zuzu is always a good distraction from the confusion.
