  1. Just seen Jordan's video upload on YouTube - the last comment at the moment asks if Jordan has any new footage of Yuzuru coming up soon and he says YES HE HAS and he will be posting soon
  2. Ennio Morricone's passing has inspired Max to suggest in a tweet today that a Yuzuru/Morricone programme would be a masterpiece - well of course it would!! It made me remember seeing Mai Mihara in 2017 at ACI skating to the Mission so beautifully (I tried to find that video but the music is silenced in the middle of it, copyright I guess), so here she is at 4CC in 2018 instead getting a season's best for her FS. Her skating is soft, sensitive, beautiful, and is totally at one with the music, I loved this programme (miss Mai too).
  3. Maybe he was mirroring the lack of enthusiasm in his little video. Someone on twitter pointed out that once I S U realised that the 2 time oly medal thingy could include mention of USA skater Dick Button, there was no stopping them!
  4. Yay maybe Max will join us too!!
  5. I suppose some of this could play in Yuzuru‘s favour if he goes for the 3rd OGM. This pressure and expectation on Nathan is again building as Beijing approaches. He knows he is bolstered above his true abilities. Yuzu has dealt with constant pressure for years, and still performs consistently (only Gold and Silver finishes for years now). He came back from serious injury and enforced abstention from competition to win Gold at Olys and Silver (with an amazing FS performance) at Saitama worlds. This important pre-season is likely to be pretty limited, if it happens at all. Not the best preparation for the challenger to the Olympic crown. A healthy (and even unhealthy!) Yuzuru is always in with a good chance of winning gold at the Olys, and with his greater experience of pressure, expectation, many years of consistency, and experience of significant gaps in competition only to come back with amazing performances puts him in a very good place as a contender. Plus he loves feeling as if his back is against the wall, and ISU’s preferential treatment of Nate will just reinforce the strength of this feeling. Nathan meanwhile might struggle with the Covid- enforced hiatus, and some sense of awkwardness or even guilt at the erasing of Yuzuru’s legacy to his (Nate’s) benefit, and when Beijing arrives he has to face his rival, the 2 time Olympic champ - no matter how unfairly Yuzu has been scored, if Yuzu performs and Nathan again cracks under the weight of expectation, Yuzuru could well be the (very deserving) victor. Plus, murder face !! (I know other skaters will be there challenging too! Don’t wish to erase Boyang, Shoma, Yuma, Mikhail, Dmitri etc...) Ah it’s a bit of a ramble, sorry!!
  6. I’ve never known a sport like it - imagine “forgetting“ you have a double reigning Olympic champ in your midst for your annual sports awards !! I agree we should ignore ... but I find it hard not to be furious with the body that governs and supposedly promotes this sport treating its most shining star and most high profile ambassador internationally in this shabby way, it’s sickening. Hopefully Yuzuru himself is taking it with a pinch of salt; us being upset is one thing, him being affected by it is another.
  7. Even Max has commented on it ....
  8. I'm making a comparison with Britain - the bar is low here, admittedly.....we all have much to do!
  9. It was seen over Northern Sendai .... that's where Ice Rink Sendai is!! They found him!!
  10. He truly is an honorary Canadian - I love that Canada makes him one of their own, I wish I lived in a country that was as inclusive as Canada seems to be....
  11. I agree - I thought the proposed changes were fair (at last recognizing the difficulty of Loop and bringing Lutz and Flip into line with Loop - even though it seems to be generally acknowledged now that it's probably the most difficult quad besides 4A ) and would maybe make the scoring more equal/fair between the top men.....(PCS though... )
  12. Oh Yuzu’s soft chin is so beautiful ♥️😭💖 This art is timed perfectly for the streaming of World Record GPF15 SEIMEI today 🌟 It gave me goosebumps watching it (as did Javi’s Guys n Dolls) - the audience in Barcelona was epic!
  13. This tweet from Jack today translates on google as "This week is skating illustrator @nigaoe877 will have an exclusive interview with. Hanyu Yuzuru" Not sure if the translation gives the correct meaning - there is a full stop after the "with" then hashtag Hanyu Yuzuru. Any ideas? I think it must mean the interview is with the illustrator?
  14. Is it OK that I want one?? duuum duuum da duuum Its such a classy programme and music .... I'm not one for trinkets usually!! .... but somehow I like it, and the film makes it look like it is made with such love and care .... yes, I think I would be happy to open such a gift, I'll send my daughter the link and see if she takes the hint !!! (oh wait, she won't, she's 17 and thinks only of herself lol!) Thank youuuu!!
