Wishing health, happiness, and hope to all, and I especially hope that the affluent world works to ensure that all people in less affluent countries get the vaccine in a timely way. We have made it through this very difficult year - WELL DONE! Spring IS coming!

    I actually looked it up and listened to it all!!! It seemed a long video...and I thought if he skates to this I'll be bawling my eyes out! Glad he chose Haru - so appropriate for the current situation, he is so thoughtful about how his skating makes others feel and what is best for each situation.

    I think that's very true, though from Worlds 2019 to GPF 2019 I think there might have been a bit of a wobble? Maybe not everyone will agree but I felt he seemed to be moving in the direction to trying to match Nathan's number of quads for example, and saying how cool Nathan is (and seeming to forget how cool HE himself is), but after GPF, undoubtedly with his coaches support, had a reawakening to the fact that his own style is unique and beautiful and powerful - and cool! - and made a return to Chopin and SEMEI which really worked for his confidence I think, and is maybe how we have arrived at these 2 new programmes where he is able to excel and show his quality of technique and musicality and sense of theatre in the way only he can. And the response has been so positive in the main, and totally vindicates his choice to remain true to himself and his style (which is so important to us too as his fans).

    Ahhh I love everything about your idea, you put so much thought and work into it too! I watched the video and thought if Yuzuru skated to that I might actually die lol!!! Yuzuru could definitely pull it off too, but I know we have talked on here previously about how some seem to long for a return in the men's to more "masculine" skating (whatever that might mean!! thinking of Kaori's throat slashing of judges move lol) and that view has maybe gained traction with the seemingly high scoring of certain skaters etc etc... Anyway, Yuzuru doesn't seem worried about it if his gorgeous H&E costume and programme and music choice and subject choice is anything to go by yay!

    Wow thanks so much - I love your interpretation of the music! Personally, I didn't need any explanation to feel its beauty, magic, and complexity, the piece appealed to me from the very start, but this is so interesting!! I love how you use the jumps as players in the story, as of course they should be, and Yuzuru, and Shae Lynn, are masters of weaving the jumps into the choreography/story so that they are a seamless part of it. I love this music and programme so much...some have said it needs this and that polishing up but to me, in that moment watching in awe on the 26th December, it was perfection itself. I will watch the video now as I know it is bound to enhance my understanding and therefore also the experience of re-watching the programme, which I intend to do, many many times!! A treasure for us to keep forever; I see it as our generous gift from Yuzuru.

    I have never fallen so instantly in love with everything about a performance/programme as I did on my first viewing of H&E on Saturday. Yuzuru, so beautiful in his costume before the music even started, and the music - to me it was beauty itself - magical, and became more so as Yuzuru weaved his story in that flawless performance and portrayal of Lord Uesugi/himself. I suppose for those with no ear for music nor eye for expression of music through dance might feel "bored", but I think it's due to ignorance, or maybe just some distorted enjoyment gained from the demeaning of somebody who others hold in such high esteem and who brings so much joy, and who shows at all times the dignity of the human spirit....I dont understand it, but agree we should fight it with positivity and, like Yuzuru, continue to always show a respectful manner to others. They are entitled to their opinion of course (even though they are wrong lol!!!). I feel a bit like I have crashed today, after the highs of the last few days, and partly due to the unkindness found on social media, but I remember that Yuzuru wanted to bring a sense of fun and enjoyment, and also hope and beauty, to us in this difficult time - I want to take that gift with me into the new year and the months to come as we try our best to move forward through this pandemic with care for ourselves and care for others. He should know from us that what he did this weekend was wonderful, it lifted our spirits, and helped us to face the difficulties ahead. (Also, because most of us love sport and competition, we are just so delighted for him that he WON and is again the National Champion!!!)

    Me too, I dont know how many times I have watched it today! However many, it still isn't enough. It's truly breath-taking, the music is just magical, I love it so much, and Yuzuru's costume - I do think he must have achieved something near the beauty he strives for, surely.

    I've listened to some of it - 30 minutes of my life I'll never get back!! No trustworthy source imo so I think they are just guessing!

    We have only seen green SEIMEI once, the shortened version, and he had only had 2 weeks or so to practice this before 4CC I believe so he could well view this as a newish programme (I do!). I for one would love to see him perform it well - he might not want that FS performance at 4CC to be his last competitive SEIMEI. Anyway, I’d love to see him skate to anything, or to nothing but the sound of blades, tbh!! Just the thought of seeing Yuzuru skating at all seems like a dream... EDIT - just read Henni’s post and I think what is said about view of recycled programmes is totally valid tho...
