  1. I love him wearing glasses. He looks great in them, and so does javi actually.
  2. Sorry for bringing up the choreo talk again. With all the signatures, photos etc., it is very hard to read back all the pages and see what people wrote.
  3. I don't dislike either RJ2 or NDP either. I think they just showed a skater that was very young and was adjusting to a new choreographer, new way of skating, and overall situation. He was more wanting to choose music similar to his idols, rather than music he wanted for himself. He was nowhere near as strong as his is now, either physically or as a performer. He's growing all the time and I think this year' s exhibition showed that the 2 could work together again with better results. I haven't loved everything Shae has done for him either but that being said I'm not sure this is the year he should be changing choreographers. Like the saying goes: If it ain't broke.... Anyway, I think Yuzu has soooo much more he is capable of bringing to the ice and, for me, it's Buttle who has been able to bring out the best in him so far. I think Jeff just *gets* him much more than the other 2, but the short program and long program are very different things... who knows what a long from Jeff would be like for him. I think music choice is key. If they get that wrong then it's a harder mountain to climb to sell it to everyone.
  4. Whatever Gracie has right now is what she brought with her to Michigan. It didn't start there. If things weren't working in Cali, then it's not lack of sunny weather that caused her issues. And really, from the opposite view, sometimes it's harder to train where the weather is nice.... harder to be in a rink training hard when the weather is gorgeous outside and you could be outside on a beach. All I know is that it has probably not been easy being Gracie Gold since Boston.
  5. I am definitely looking forward to seeing James/Cipres next season. They had such a break out year after so many ups and downs. I think they are a team (finally) seen to be on the rise and should contend for somewhere in the top if they can progress this summer as they did last year. Their coaching move was a great decision.
  6. I want Shoma to reveal his programs. I want anyone to reveal programs!! It will make the season feel far more real and it makes the imagination work... to see how the programs will develop in 9 months time. Sometimes it does not feel as if a program will make any progress and some are perfect from the start. Give them to us, guys!
  7. I love that music of Adam's. He could just skate around in circles or do layback spins all day and I think I'd probably watch it.
  8. Once you know what she looks like, it's hard not to pick her out. Yuzu looks a lot like her. It's pretty amazing that she still stays with him in Toronto after all these years, despite him being older now. I can imagine what a change her life took when they made the decision to go to TCC. I bet she didn't think she'd be living part of the year in Canada and then travelling all around the world with him when she took him to his first lessons, lol!! I'd say it's a family success story.... as many stories are for top athletes and the sacrifices everyone makes.
  9. I noticed his RJ1 in Rostelecom.... loved it in Quebec City, and absolutely fell for him at Worlds 2012. When he fell and then landed his 3a3t.. when he roared... and his uber defiant baby faced assassin look at the end totally won me over. At the time, being a good Canadian, I was supporting Patrick ( not an uber, though), and when I saw yuzu's easy 3A  , I was like OMG. I knew Patrick was going to be in trouble. Haven't looked back since .
  10. Poor yuzu. In the gossip magazine world he has quite the life... secret girlfriend, painful choreography decisions with face offs..oh, wasnt he also upset one time that javi was with miki so could not compete? Anyway, that is all gossip, but I wanted to say how awesome it was to see the *2017* on the tcc plaque!!!! He must feel great looking at that
  11. I chose mine as if I they were the only 3 programs of his I would ever be able to watch again, so PW was #1. To me that was as perfect as he could ever get, so I could be happy with just that one. After that it was seimei and RJ1 (this just because it was baby yuzu on fire saying hello to the world, not the choreography). If I could choose 4-5 it would be LGC and Notte stellata. I usually don't like his other exhibition numbers that much.
  12. ITA about Canada having a great chance in the Team competition for gold. Depending on the health of everyone, it is definitely within reach and I hope all the skaters would want to participate. All disciplines are pretty strong, but I think the lack of weakness together as a team is what makes them strongest. V/M are probably closest to gold in their own competition (chances are they'll be on podium), while the other competitors all have to deal with those nasty jumps, so it might be everyone's best chance at gold. :s_yes

    Music talk

I want something with fire in it, power and strength. Something that says I am the BEST. Seimei was like that, a very dominating program, and it was so well received that I think he would benefit with something like that.
  14. I am solidly behind Mai as well. She won me over, big time. With more intricate programs, and her consistency in her LP, she could do really well. I loved how in the WTT exhibition, she went for the 333 at Yuzu's urging. He totally made her do it, literally pushing her out there, lol, and then both laughing so much when she fell. I love The Third Man question... teehee.
  15. I doubt he'll add it. He's way too conservative to bring that out to competition after so many years of not using it. If I"m wrong, well, that would be awesome, I love the idea of the "old guys" bringing it. Other than that article, I'd never heard of him having a 4F, but these guys try so many things in practice that it would not surprise me.
