  1. Mai!!!! Her flow, gentle knees... and just charming in every way.
  2. Are we sure he is not going to Chicago first? He is going to be waaaay early, lol. Well, whatever it takes, eh Shoma? Do your best!
  3. Ok, Seimei up next... SO looking forward to it. Not sure if I should expect error prone or clean yuzu... hope to see clean 4lz, and after that whatever will be, will be.
  4. In CANADA to boot.... my evil yuzu hating home, lol.
  5. 104.16..... oh dear. I think that was the most amazing performance of Chopin ever!!! Oh, Dave..... you sad thing.
  6. Aww, I get home from work to hear he is already in Moscow... and seeing smiley photos makes me smile. I had such a long, busy day, so this was nice to see! It's like, at ACI he was quieter, more subdued, which made sense because it is B competition and he wasnt totally prepared... but now it is the GP series...the important time of the year has started, and he looks, and therefore must feel, confident. The tv cameras and fans are ready and now it really is 'go time.' I feel happy because now when I wake up or go to bed there will be yuzu news!
  7. One thing I do want... seeing his final jump axel be clean. I want him to know that his stamina is ok, that he is confident that the final axel is going to work there, and the tough stuff earlier is the hurdle.
  8. Just a few days until the season really begins.... I hope Yuzu can win, but don't expect, or hope for, a great performance. I don't want him to be like 2015, where at gpf he was worried any mistake he made would make him get less than the nhk score, thereby putting too much pressure on himself and feeling fear. I want him to land his lutz ( if that is the plan) to get that out of the way, and then skate a good, but not perfect, Seimei. They timed it perfectly last season... hopefully they can do it again.
  9. I think that Yuzu's best work is done by Jeff precisely because it is a collaborative approach... working together, bouncing ideas off of each other, trusting Jeff to bring different things out of him that maybe he isn't sure of at first... it's better than just being told what to do and just following through. I think Yuzu performs Jeff's work so well because it is more *him* and I sincerely hope we get to see more of Jeff's work with Yuzu in the future.
  10. Agreed that Yuzu's sp record can be broken by a few people with their high BV. Even last year at World's Javi came very, very close to it. I love Nathan's sp this year... it has exactly what the judges are looking for and his elements are really well done (although the quality of many things, mainly the jumps, isn't yuzu-like). Shoma's is good too, but I find his jumps can be a bit messy.... if the judges decide to call that. If it happens, you know Yuzu will take up the challenge to get it back. Competition is motivating for him. Of course, I always want Yuzu to hold the records for as long as he competes, but records are made to be broken, right?
  11. That will be me for NHK.... 3am or so probably.... my effort in 2015 to watch his record breaking Seimei, suffering from my concussion headaches, light sensitivity and what not...that was my heroic figure skating watching effort. It put my recovery back a few weeks, but that live experience was awesome!!!!
  12. CBC sometimes gets a lot of flack for many things, but their live streaming for figure skating will always make me appreciate them.... ..... and 6 hours ahead only... my tablet world clock sucks!!! It told me 8 hours, but I know the UK is only 5 so I was confused, lol. Perfect for breakfast television!! Edit: ok, 7 sounds right since I knew it was different from other parts of Europe.... still get to sleep in and watch with breakfast.
  13. Is Moscow 7 or 8 hours ahead of Toronto right now.... either way I will be awake early to watch COR... I do not work that day (I ve been working extra Fridays so I can take them off during GPF series, lol), but my body is used to that time for work so it should be great for me!!!! I am hoping CBC does their usual streaming.....
  14. Do we know the exact dates of the figure skating events at Olympics?? I have quickly looked for a schedule but I havent found anything easily...
  15. Always been Pan-teen here in Canada too.... at least, that's what the tv commercials have always said!!
  16. It would make her performances more exciting..... guess I crave excitement in the ladies field and her consistency has become boring to me. It is Great for her, but I hate to say she now is sometimes a bathroom break for me because she always skates exactly the same. Please let this year be more exciting... in any way!! This spring is probably that fluff competition again... right? It was held in Seattle and Yuzu was hurt and could not go.... are they holding it again? Originally I heard every 2 years.... do we know anything about it?
  17. For me, I am feeling quite serene. I know that Yuzu is practicing quite happily away in Toronto... the weather is glorious and full of sunshine... which makes everyone full of energy and I'm sure that's helping to make him feel quite happy and energetic and so he's practicing his lutz and loop and everything else under Brian's watchful eyes... and who knows, maybe his mom has stocked up on OASIS juice which you can find anywhere and everywhere. You can find it in any major grocery store in Canada... it is not a dollar store brand.
  18. I do not think doing 2 shorts at Olys would be an issue at all. I think he would embrace the chance to be on the ice and perform with the Olympic rings around him. He knows Chopin backwards and forwards, performed it daily during show season and the chance to get some Olympic nerves out would really settle him. And performing with his teammates right there? He will love it.
  19. I was glad to see Mai made the most of her trip to Canada for ACI and went to Toronto right after to work on choreography with David Wilson. I like her program in general, but there are things that could be addressed, so hopefully having seen the program competed, he will have figured out how to help her and gave her things to work on.
  20. I am loving the claim that Yuzu lands the 4A 30% of the time. So, he has successfully landed it enough times for there to be a stat about it....
  21. I am glad to hear that Brian has altered their training to include separate, individual time with him. It will dispel, or at least mitigate, the increased tension that is normal between 2 rivals. While they haven't done this before, neither have they faced the Olympics in their respective positions before... for years the Olympics were in the future, but the future is now and it is time to deliver. Everyone here has already done a great job of explaining how the separate days will benefit both of them. Brian can devote equal individual time to both at a time when they need it, and each guy knows he has done his best by them. And, come what may, Brian himself will know he has done his best to prepare them both for this competition.
  22. I am very confused by what I just walked in on.... lol. But back to that gloves issue video...LMFAO... he really did have a bad day and just watvhing his face as hecwas figuring things out... oh dear. It has made my day
  23. Most important: what was he wearing, lol...
  24. This is skating, not tennis... world rankings are no big deal.
  25. And that is a major reason to be glad he is in Toronto.
