According to this new article, five out of seven applications have already been rejected in the past years, hopefully they'll reject the others as well and ANA and Yuzu's team will be able solve this problem and stop them from further applications. ETA: It seems the article is about author's speculations why there won't be media day this year, nothing new/official.

From Akina Miyazaki's IG story. It's probably new because she is currently at TCC.

Junior Skaters of 2019/20 Season
sallycinnamon replied to sallycinnamon's topic in Igloo World: Team Other Skaters
Free programs from Russian Junior Men: Danielian Samsonov Gumennik Kutovoi Yablokov Kovalev Vetlugin Golubev Lutfullin Mozalev Rukhin ETA: the videos are deleted... they're up here: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCX9-cJy8dZWDI8hCnmahuLA I couldn't watch all programs yet but from what I've seen so far, Artur's FS was good, much better than his short program yesterday. He was one of the few skaters today who skated relatively cleanish (lesser TES + risks though) and his overall skating quality just stands out. Petr is good, too, he'll upgrade his BV a lot by adding the 4S also in combination. Samsonov made many mistakes today, to me it seems he's rushing through all the elements. He's still very young to improve though! Ladies FS will start very soon, streaming link: https://ok.ru/live/1413338701487 -

JGP Riga entry list is up! http://www.isuresults.com/events/fsevent03111897.htm Grassl, Samsonov, Mozalev, Phan, Shiyeong Lee, Torgashev and yay for Kao Miura getting a spot as well! Valieva, Vasilieva, Kurakova, Haein, Rion Sumiyoshi and Rino Matsuike in the ladies, quite a good list. There are only a few ID couples that I've heard of before. -

I'm curious about that part in the Vol. 10 interview because only two segments (his life in Toronto and his thoughts about Javier) have been translated so far afaik. He is really impossible to predict though

2019/2020 Season Program Announcements
sallycinnamon replied to sallycinnamon's topic in Knickknacks: General Skating Chat
Aznavour's music doesn't have anything to do with this choreo. There were many parts that reminded me of Caravan or Nemesis while it's a completely different style of music with different tempo. He doesn't use any finesse to reflect the nuances of this music which is even more necessary when someone skates to a slow, melancholic piece like this. There are also lots of uncontrolled arm movements, and his shallow edges and stiff knees are both bothering to watch during this SP. Alina's SP is up, too. The music cut is not too bad and I think it suits her style better than many of her previous programs. I am curious how this will develop later. -
It's so good to see a picture of him He looks happy!
-
I hope it's just the case. We'll know more after her free skate.
-
I know it's still so early in the season but that's a very low score.

Guess the New Programs! (and win nothing if you do)
sallycinnamon replied to Yatagarasu's topic in Yuzuru Hanyu
They can keep both programs if they want. -
Her jumps are hard to control but if they can land them clean they are so good and beautiful...(especially her toe jumps are ), so I'm curious what they can do with her. I hope she'll get the consistency, she's very talented. I'll miss her seeing with Nakako Tsuzuki (and Tsuzuki sensei at Nationals) in the kiss & cry though (own pic from Junior Worlds 2019)

Junior Skaters of 2019/20 Season
sallycinnamon replied to sallycinnamon's topic in Igloo World: Team Other Skaters
Shun will be there! Yay -
I like Origin and wouldn't mind if he keeps it, but I would be curious how he'd restructure the program, and how much the music cuts would change too (because as others have pointed out already it'd needed certain changes). I'd just wait now until official announcement and his thoughts about the program. But I'll trust him whatever he choses to do as long as he's healthy and fine I could see he skates to a new SP though, Otonal has already reached its potential imo while Origin not (even though Yuzu would disagree with this ).

Team we're fewer but still good!
sallycinnamon replied to Yatagarasu's topic in Igloo World: Team Other Skaters
Summer camps are good and useful, but I think they are not the same as having a specialist who works there the whole season. It seems Deniss is there too (on the last picture). -
We'll have to be a bit patient but it's great we'll have 24hr TV this year as well. I'm looking forward to it! I already miss Haru Yo Koi so much.

I wish Mai a fast recovery and hope she'll back stronger soon. In other news, Tomoe left Nakako Tsuzuki and is now coached by Yukina Ota and Yutaka Higuchi.
