I really like the "Empire of Angels" (Thomas Bergersen) music and the fan made video of Abby Zhang which is one of the videos listed by the50sperson above. This video kind of got lost in the mix because so many videos were listed. I will reproduce it here for the sake of convenience and reference.

 

I find the music and the video very uplifting and inspirational, like Yuzu. It starts out softly and builds dramatically, softens again and returns forcefully. I would love to see him skate a free program to this music.

Wow, I love this. The music truly reflects Yuzuru's spirit. I think it could make a really good free skate piece. It would be great for Yuzu to do something epic and inspirational like this, especially during Olympic year, it could be a legendary program. 

 

The video is superbly edited, too.

When I first saw this video and heard the music, I even toyed with the idea of sending an email to Erin d'Eon at the Cricket Club attaching the link and asking her to forward it to Brian and Yuzuru, with a Japanese message for Yuzuru.

 

I had the same thought when I saw the wonderful annotated video of Yuzuru's record-breaking free skate at 2017 Worlds produced by members of this forum (and which caused such a ruckus at GS). I was really tempted to send the link to Erin d'Eon with a request that she forward it to Brian and especially Yuzuru, along with a Japanese message to him explaining what the video is about and how much he is loved by the people creating it and his supporters here.

Always loved music by Joe Hisaishi so Hope and Legacy was a blessing for my heart <3 

 

The soft classical strings/piano music really suits Yuzu's graceful skating style, but i'd also want to see him skate to something passionate and energetic as well, doesn't have to be a lyrical song though!

Imo Chopin's four Scherzi are quite underused and imo have the potential to become great FS music. After seeing what Yuzuru can do with Ballad no. 1, I think he can do the Scherzi(no.1 and 4 especially) justice. 

 

As for the other part of my wishlist, Yuzuru and Japanese composers is a match made in heaven. I would love to see him skate to more music by Japanese composers  Akio Yashiro, Somei Satoh and Yoko Kanno comes to my mind immediately. Coincidentally, Satoh and Kanno are both from Sendai as well.

Was it during the worlds or WTT where Yuzu said he would like to try something new like
string music and mentioned also the connection to his name. He did skate to violin music at least in his first senior season 2010-11, quite many years ago.  

 

About Japanese music: Seimei and HL made WR-scores so Japanese or Asian music could still be a good choice for the Olympic season too. I don´t really know would the politics between Japan and South Korea have any influence on his music choice. Many skaters use different types of western music always, year after year. I see no reason why the judges would not approve Japanese music for the third time in a row. The piece should probably be different from Seimei and HL and maybe it would be better to use it in SP this time.

 

Imo the judges should encourage the skaters to make brave music choices. It could develop this sport forward. For example S/H FS music Blues for Klook worked very well. I guess Lori Nichol picked it for them.

 

I wonder shall we get news about new programs and music next week. I hope so. 

 

Very late replies to ser22: I like "Sleeping sun" a lot too.
And to just_peachy: "Love runs out" would be great music for EX. Yuzu would skate it like a fire.

i'm definitely on team that want to see yuzu skate to any music from Two Steps From Hell! their music is so epic (although sometimes i wonder if it has too much going on to be matched to a skating element lol) besides whats already been suggested, i love Blackheart. The violin is very lovely and i think it won't be the kind of "scratchy" sound when it'll be blasted in the arena. Sorry its just that sometimes skaters use the kind of violin (well not just violin actually) music that sometimes "breaks" in the arena when blasted max volume and it kinda hurt my ears. I also love Flight of The Silverbird, i remember he loves the flute in seimei, so.

 

i must say that i'm really looking forward to whatever music he choose, because his music cut is so superb! i was always amazed by it
