Wakaba said that she was so nervous that she felt weak as she went into this competition, but she could skate as she wanted in SP. Her goal for this season is to keep performing without making a big mistake in every competition, so she was happy to be able to achieve it in SP. She said that she wanted to be able to keep showing what she has been practicing in every chance and show her own 007 in FS.

    Wakaba did seem nervous to me, both in SP and FS, but I am very happy that she skated clean in her SP. She has been very consistent this season so far both in her SP and FS - so if I had to choose, it was just better to make mistakes here than at Nationals. Or at her previous GP events. She can be proud of herself that she got into GPF, which she completely deserved with her very strong GP competitions.

    I just hope that she gained lots of experiences at the GPF  and will come back stronger than ever at Nationals. I will cheer for her so much.

    I've always found it a bit of a cringe-worthy song, but it's... grown on me, and I must admit, there are worse things to wake up to at 6.30 on a Sunday morning. ;-)
