Can they at least make the potato chips smell like maple syrup?

We had maple-flavoured potato chips a couple of years ago

I just assumed everything in Canada already did.

Hmmm if Wakaba isn't going for the 3A this season, I wonder why they put the solo 2A as the first jump? It seems like a waste of points to at least not put it in the 2nd half and while I know it's hard to change layouts, I kind of wish they'd move it if she's not going to be attempting it :slinkaway:

Maybe they've planned it for Nationals and possibly the Olympics. GPF is great but for the ladies, Nationals is the big one this time. I don't see the point of that 2A there unless they were gunning for the triple, either. Especially since Wakaba seems like she could do it as the last jump without thinking twice.

It was definitely a placeholder for 3A but the whole point is that she's meant to try the triple out during competitions and hopefully get closer to a clean one like Mirai ...I don't get why she's both NOT jumping it but keeping the 2A there. Unless she's been simultaneously training a 3A layout under wraps to break out at Nationals and so wants to develop enough muscle memory to have it as her opening jump but to do that at Nationals without any competition experience? : /

Then again, I've read her coaching team have made a bunch of weird choices about her layout (apparently making her do a 3F which she sometimes gets an edge call on instead of another jump?). Ugh. Bring Wakaba to TCC pleaaaase?? Brian and Yuzu can help her get a 3A.

More importantly... get the correct edge for her flip

She's training this layout this season so she can have the second half jumps clean and tight when she introduces the unstable element (3A) next season. She wants to go clean, though, in order to make her case for the Olympics team, so she is NOT going to risk a 3A this season. Maybe at Worlds, if that.

Ah right, fair enough I suppose. Interesting to see the long term strategy there.

It's a good strategy for the future, long term. Just could have been done last season, if her 3A was any ready, so she could apply it this season and win everything.

Yeah it's a pity and to be fair, I think she was not necessarily expecting to be a favourite for the Olys spot. Either way, she can get on the podium w/o it...if they don't underscore her PCS =___= I'm glad to see someone planning and building their stability for the next quad though, esp with the male youngsters trying to max out their BVs as soon as they debut. Sometimes I forget how young Wakaba and some of the ladies are
