I hate illusion mesh too, but it didn't bother me in Loco, maybe this one isn't too bad either...

I like the costume, it will be interesting to see how it looks on the ice  Looks pretty flattering in the photo.

I don't mind illusion mesh if it does have a similar color to the skin tone of the skater or isn't used under a V-neck (which I don't like).

Illusion mesh is fine as long as it matches skin tone and isn't the main fabric - see costumes we love to hate for 'dresses' that are mostly mesh and Swarovski.  I don't mind it in v necks as long as the colour is ok.  This looks ok in a small pic- collar reminds me a little of Ys PotO2 which I loved

Here's the costume in motion. 

It does remind of his previous Turandot costume. The V-neck with mesh still doesn't seem to work here, but again it's not the best quality video.

The glaring lights are reflecting off the mesh and making it stand out in the vid. But in normal comp lighting it might not be too obvious. 

 

And a lot of detail in the back! It's sparkly!

They always glitter more in gala/show lighting!

I think it may be a bit too much sparkle in the back, seems like it's a bit heavy looking? I think a bit more subtlety in the back might work best. I do really like the collar and the front embroidery but the back is going to have to grow on me.
