I've watched some of the Gala EXs on YT (I overslept)

Satoko is a beautiful skater to watch, so very graceful, too bad for the jumps. I'm liking Polina a lot too. And I like both Stolbova-Klimov and Hubbell/Donohue songs, so I liked those ex too (but I have a huge issue with Madison's costume)

Adam's performance was unexpected, wow. Still, I would have liked he did some skating at some point too (please tell me he's just trying to promote an alternative career for when he'll r****e and he isn't injured)

Btw why was Zhenya wearing her SP dress instead of her beautiful ditched-FS dress?

 

I think the camerawork could have been way better, too many unnecessary wide shots and sometimes unnecessary close-ups too . Also, the lighting wasn't that good either, with so many skaters choosing to go total black for the gala (and this is me nitpicking and trying to find comfort for the absence of a beautiful spakly swan)

But seriously, why so many dark outfits for the gala? Who's ever thought it was a good idea to wear those dark outfits with dimmed lights? And why is it trending so much?

I do not want to speculate, but she promised a surprise for the gala. Probably, something went wrong.

I was wondering what had happened to Adam's SP, wasn't he supposed to skate it to his own cover???Then he went and did this gala xDD I think he had it planned looong ago, so it's not an injury.

 

Good question about Zhenya-luggage limit? Though I don't thing the dress weight that much/takes up this much space...maybe she just forgot (or younger Eteri girl needed a dress so she passed it down?), good thing all her dresses this season are stunning.

 

They used up all the good camerawork for the competition! Plus, you must admit it still was decent, compared to other GPs...

And there was this drama king who can x-ray you with bare eyes, a young prodigy who can summon a tornado when he smashes and a megane who magnetize the ball. Talk about logic!!

I just wanted to say that in reality, being there, the lighting was quite awesome... But I guess depending on the angle of the cameras, it could have seemed too dark on TV. But even from my place in the Stands, I could see everything very well. Of course, it did make me wonder how much much more awesome it would have been with Yuzu there...
