Sorry if my question is stupid.

I have seen that Elizaveta Tuktamysheva used to do running to train or to warm up.

Doesn't running inflict micro-fractures on feet? Doesn't skating itself tend to do the same?

Maybe the best running shoes can avoid it?

Now that hellish of an event is over, should we talk about the next hellish of an event? Will they go "since WC was superbly organized, surely WTT will be just fine)?

PS: On that note, WTT schedule is out.

Apparently there's a lot of confusion and a bit of friction about how the olympic qualifying rules actually work, and this confusion might not be just among fans but among the actual skating federations that voted on the rules. Right now it's apparently unclear whether skaters like Donovan actually qualified for the Olympics. I think I also heard that the US is protesting the qualification rules because they don't want to have to confirm their third men's spot at Nebelhorn, lol

Jackie is apparently getting his info from US Fed (lol, of course), but:

So he backpedals:

Former lawyer chimes in on ISU rules:

Not going to lie, if this blows up in the ISU's face I'm going to enjoy it, since this will have been entirely the fault of their own rule drafting process and all the fed politicking that goes into their decisions. It really sucks for Donovan and everyone else who thought they qualified by making the free though--they still probably did, but that there's any confusion at all is horrible.

This is actually how I understood it as well.

IF they are going to give away some spots from Nebelhorn to feds that have qualified more than 0 skaters, THEN they need to allow more skaters to qualify through Worlds. Otherwise they are ONLY screwing over small feds who used to get at least 6 spots from Nebelhorn, and there would be fewer than normal number of skaters at the Olympics.

After the Men's short program I've written a little about the PCS. If you're interested... Warning: the contents can cause pain in the liver.

Thank you for this! My non-FS friends, some of whom have expressed interest in knowing more, are really turned off by this in terms of getting attached (from tweets to..... i guess their common sense and what they can see? It’s so plainly obvious! 🙄)

It’s true that such things just breed bitterness because when we love this sport like we do, it’s simply unbearable to see at one point 😔

Much pain in the liver was indeed had ^^’
