sallycinnamon Posted November 9, 2017 Posted November 9, 2017 Tobias/Tkachenko withdrew, Coomes/Buckland will skate instead of them. I voted for Hubbell/Donohue for the bronze medal, but I'd like to change my vote for Penny and Nick. Is it possible to change it?

It's too late to change the questionnaire and have everyone vote new, but since you told me I'll just edit your answers in the quiz and count it accordingly. If anyone else wants to change what they predicted as well, just let me know here/per PM and I'll count whatever new ID podium/placements you send me!

I'll change my predictions after men's practice this morning too (aka after yuzu's decision), if that's okay
Xen Posted November 10, 2017 Posted November 10, 2017 Well, I am keeping my mens prediction, regardless, because I know who is, should and will remain no. 1.
xeyra Posted November 10, 2017 Posted November 10, 2017 I'm quitting this game as of now since I've jinxed all my favorite men.

Xen Posted November 10, 2017 Posted November 10, 2017 I am starting to get worried for the top men this season, since injuries are just coming out of the woodworks like crazy...
EisElle Posted November 10, 2017 Posted November 10, 2017 yes, this gp there have already been a lot of WD (last one ) and apparently a lot of ankles/knees problems, plus stomach illness, pneumonia and other accidents. I haven't followed GP the previous years, is it common to have so many WD? Maybe people are being extra careful given there are Olys at stake? Or this GP is just cursed. Or I'm cursing it by following it tbw (should I go back to a sane no-FS world? Someone can tell me how?) Also, maybe I jinx more when I don't make any prediction at all... (I swear, this week I was just busy/distracted, not really worrying about jinxing you-know-who, tho I've jinxed both Patrick and Javi. Shoma being immune). I don't think I can do much more damage, so I'm gonna predict all the rest of GP. (zuzu your fiery samurai face is both reassuring and heartbreaking to look at)

(zuzu your fiery samurai face is both reassuring and heartbreaking to look at) Well I didn't follow FS in depth as much before, but honestly, I don't think so. Illnesses are par the course, and in men's there's quite a history with Plushy, Yagudin and so having issues, what with Plush having surgery late in the off season, skating with groin injuries etc. But this season, maybe due to more media hype, attention etc, it certainly feels like there is just more injury than normal. I still have fingers crossed for Shoma and Nate, because I haven't heard of any injuries yet. BUT both are the type who will keep very quiet, and given Nate's interesting history of surgeries, knock on wood all around.
ralucutzagy Posted November 10, 2017 Posted November 10, 2017 I don't really know what will happen with my predictions, but I didn't want to change my men's prediction for Yuzu, because if he hasn't been injured he would have win NHK even without any quad at all ... sorry for ranting, but I'm still so so upset!~
EisElle Posted November 10, 2017 Posted November 10, 2017 Actually @Xen iirc the british Esp. during SC were saying Shoma had some problem with his ankles (I read about that, not actually listened to them). I don't know if it has been confirmed though. Maybe this would explain both the layout downgrade and the slowness even in his stsq. I haven't checked in the jpn thread tho. the thing is, everything can change so suddenly (And then there is just sheer bad luck. Like getting a fever. Darn)
Fay Posted November 10, 2017 Posted November 10, 2017 As I stopped caring, I'll continue playing just to take the hurt out of my mind...
