she seems to be taller than Med in her age, anyway. More like Tsurskaya, hope she holds her jumps though.

watching the JGP I couldn't help think about who's gonna step up when Yuzu eventually r*****s...guess he'll just have to keep skating until those little tots he taught at Yokohama are old enough to challenge him 

It was much better than the men's competition.  I wish the ISU would revise the costume requirements for junior ladies - I'm probably an old killjoy but I'm uncomfortable with under 18s wearing some of the costumes we've seen this weekend- and you all know the ones I mean

Her programs are very Eteri in terms of how she gathers points but that is about it. Her jumps are great; she has a very different personality than the standard really and boy did Daniil out-do himself with the choreo for both of these. So suited for her and very peculiar, in an out of the box kind of way.

 

I have to go watch this again, so many little details!

Yes, very point getting programs typical of an Eteri factory skater... which is great for her skaters. Usually I can tell an Eteri student just by jumping style, but Tarakanova isn't the usual Eteri cookie cutter skater. I am glad of that. As with all the juniors, enjoy for now because you never know what growing can do to them and who will triumph. 

 

And yeah, that was very enjoyable from all the girls. Minor blips here and there, but I liked them all. Good stuff!!
