Please, at least record and release Chopin, Fujifaces. Everything this genius does should be recorded for posterity. Don't they understand how important this is?

If they did, they'd air the thing like Asahi had. I am still confused from a purely financial POV to be honest, because that's the bottom line with networks, when it comes to this decision. Very strange.

Ari Zakarian may come through hopefully but better be quick on the download, if he does, just in case!

If there are cameras at least one day, probably we can hope for something.

ETA I guess Twitter reports will mention it.

They should take note of what happened to Asahi and Noto and start cowering. To think they have all that footage from past shows that they refuse to release except in tiny snippets. Somebody raid their studios!

This, this this. They shouldn't even question it. Every time Yuzuru skates he's potentially making history. At Makuhari day 3, he skated a new hypotetical world record. Releasing the video of that was an easy decision. They simply had no choice.

It's about recognizing the importance of things, on a bigger scale.

Perhaps the head of the network was in a freak ice skating accident as a child. His boot flew off mid-spin and took out his whole family. He was then sent away to live with his estranged grandparents in snowy Hokaido. Every day he'd look out his window down at the frozen lake behind their house and curse those skates. If only he'd taken up skiing instead! His cruel grandparents would taunt him with endless loops of ice skating warhorses on their dusty record player. He wanted to cry but his tears would turn to ice and he'd be reminded once more of his terrible past.

On the morning of his 18th birthday, before the sun and his grandparents had a chance to rise, he snuck downstairs, stashed those hateful records under his coat, and made the long trek into the village pawn shop to make train fare.

And so off he headed, out of his winter nightmare and into the hustle bustle of Tokyo where he soon found himself making coffee runs at Fuji TV. He swore that if he ever made it to the top, he'd take his revenge and refuse to broadcast really cheesy and sometimes amazing ice shows.

Or, you know, Fuji TV is just insanely jerky and stupid. :yznotimpressed:

Yes! This boy, there's never been and never will never be another like him. If this was any sort of football there'd be no question about it but because it's such a minor sport no mind is paid to it. (I hate calling the beautiful art he makes sport.)

I went to Makuhari and Kobe, and will go to Niigata on Saturday.
I am already starting to feel a bit blue because after next Saturday I don't know when I will see Yuzu live. The ticket situation of NHK Trophy, GPF, and Nationals seems like... hopeless. It must be a miracle if I could go to even one day of those events.:sadPooh:

By the way, today I received a mail from a ticket agency I bought a ticket of FaOI Niigata from. It says taking photos or videos during the show is strictly prohibited and if they find out someone doing so, they will order them to delete the data and to get out of the venue.
This is the first time I got such a warning mail. Is there anyone who took videos in Makuhari or Kobe? I just feel strange.:yznotimpressed:

I guess for skaters it is prohibited also? Probably we will get no photos/videos till Monday except for a few oficial ones on FaOI FB page. Why????

So after Niigata and whatever twitter reports/photos we get from it, it'll be the last time we'll have new Yuzu news until... late August? Early September?

Maybe I'll finally manage to get my reading in order again.

No, I don't think so. Skaters must be allowed to take photos and videos, I'm almost sure.

I read someone saying "Will there be an announcement of engagement of Miki and Javi??"

Yes, i guess they can make photos, but probably can't share them on SNS. There was nothing from Kobe till Monday.

We are lucky Twitter reports are not prohibited still .

That's just not nice. A mail? It seems like a life or death situation for them. With no broadcast. I will never understand nor support this way of thinking...

In Helsinki I was caught filming the last group getting ready for warm-up before the Short Program, and they told me it was forbidden, and I put the camera back in the bag. That was it.

There really is no reason to scare people like this.

what? that is very mean with no broadcast scheduled :sadPooh: not that we saw any photos or videos from the audience either (just from skaters, FaOI Facebook, noto-san, and ari zakarian who is sports reporter or some sorts)

well I'm pretty sure some skaters will share live broadcast for a bit again :2lbkos0: and if Ari will broadcast yuzu's performance again we will all be happy :winky: getting my onscreen recorder and storage ready!
