Why I feel like his gold jacket is the most shiny there

Much have been posted in the thread, but I thought it'd be good to have a Day 1 summary :) before the next onslaught that is Day 2 or 3. Rough translations of some fan reports from twitter as well. *breathe*

Fan report highlights:

  • (Abt "Choo Choo Train") "...Hanyu came out --> roused the fans --> danced with full energy & was extremely smiley (at this time C/L was in center stage) --> moved towards center stage & moves were really brisk/energetic/animated..." (hatch722@twi)
  • "Hanyu-kun was watching Plushenko and Javi seriously from the stage wing. During Javi's performance, he rocked his body along to the music..." (mijyua@twi)
  • Hanyu's message to the audience at the end of the show:
"Although this is a personal matter, I am very glad about being able to skate in ice shows after a long time. Thanks to everyone. Thank you very much. Everyone's nervous on the first day, it's not yet a completely satisfactory performance just yet, but we can only experience today once in our lives, so I'll give my all to everything. There will be two more days in Makuhari, and FaOI will happen in two more locations. I want to bring performance that gives a good time/ entertains... (he struggles with conjugations for a bit, laughs)... everyone. Really, thank you very much! So... let's do 3,2,1! 3....2....1....Thank you very much!" (soraneko2233@twi, 2nd part)
  • (sorry I need to process/sleep before I deal with Chopin-related reports ^_^... TBC)

Day 3

No wonder he was tired AF after Chopin, he gave his all since the opening and buried the others with his extra energetic dance performance

What terrible singing is this!?

Also, now that I have more time and less news are coming, I'm going to go back and check all these many photos and marvel at the Disco trashyness of these outfits, which I absolutely love.

Those sparkly-metallic outfits are the best thing to come out of today :smiley-dance010:

Johnny would be always up for it. But make up is where Yuzu draws the line.

I want to see Yuzu wearing guyliner, pretty please. He can hydroblade into my heart forever like that

I wonder, does Yuzu ever wear makeup? On the one hand, his face always looks the same in practice & in comp & ex numbers, and you know he's not wearing any makeup in practice if you see how he wipes his face with tissues. On the other hand, makeup seems to be kind of required, at least in the exhibition lightings? But in his interviews after shows he still looks like he's not wearing any, with his sweat shining and him wiping so hard with a towel...

Edit: I'm just reminded of the colorless, shiny lip balm he wears in the recent station show. But things other than that? Seems like he doesn't need anyway...

I don't think he wears make-up in competition at all, galas included

But I wouldn't rule out TV appearances. I could swear he was wearing some at kouhaku!

eta: I would love to see some eyeliner on him TBH

I don't think yuzu wears make up? :10636614: based on the amount of sweat he has over his face after a performance and looking at his face before the performance, I think there is no difference
