Complain away - this is really shitty and deserves complaining about. What in the world? How are international events basically reserved for Japanese people only? And no kidding, I bet most of the "foreigner" tickets got bought by someone close(r) to wherever the server was for the ticketing site, which I'm sure was in Japan. I didn't know it was allowed to restrict by nationality like that, or if it's not, then they get away with it by restricting it to Japanese phones only.  facepalm, that really sucks. Are you sure there's no way you can get to Milan? :8122879:

I hope they get forced to offer more tickets for worlds. I'm half sure he'll compete there, so if you go you will probably see him.

I feel like a terrible person. I know everyone who lost today is upset. I didn't expect to feel this upset.

A lot of concerts and events in Japan are like this where it's near impossible for foreigners to attend without a lot of help or just lying about name and address. It just seems accepted but I'm sure there would be at least a mild outcry in any other country.

I will try to get to Milan. I'm quite sick and weak in everyday daily life but I've used the hope of going to NHK or GPF to push myself and push myself every day these past 6 months to try and get strong enough to travel to Japan and I think I'm just about okay to (though wouldn't really be able to do much else but attend a competition and rest.) I will just have to keep pushing myself and hopefully I can get well enough to go to milan, aunt try to save extra to break up the flight. I guess I have about 5 months so here's still time to build myself up.

Damn, flight times getting from Australia to Europe are brutal...

They are. :/ And price. I'm way way as south as you can get before tasmania, too.

Rooting for you. You can do it! I was thinking about your situation, and if you aren't picky about where to break up the flight, I think you can finagle it to be about the same price or cheaper. Haven't looked in detail, but it seems like all flights from Australia involve a layover anyway, plus the event tickets aren't gonna be expensive, especially compared to how much you'd be paying for NHK or GPF ticket resale. They were about $65 for SP and $130 for FS at Helsinki, although maybe a bit more expensive for Milan. Wishing you luck :tumblr_inline_nhkf04zUM41qid2nw:

If you can believe it I still haven't heard those NHK results so I'm sorry I haven't gotten back to you yet.

Nah, not to worry. I was just hoping at least one of us would be able to complete the set, haha! :sadPooh: Ah well.

I just found unbeievably cheap 2 arena fs tickets and I can't vet them without a japanese mobile number (i think landline might work too but have to be there to answer it)! TT_TT Anyone to help and go halves?

ETA Too late. :13877886: At least now we know there are some good people left who will sell at face value!

On the resale sites, does the owner of the mobile number have to be the one to go to the event? Or is it possible to just get a friend in japan to buy it for you without them going?

Why is this so difficult :sadPooh:

The phone number is just to verify your account. If you are buying paper tickets it's no problem. The problem is they go so fast when they're cheap unless you have your Japanese friend keeping an eye out you'll probably miss it like I just did. :13877886: I wish I could just hop on a plane to Japan and do this myself.

I took a peek at the resale prices and .... god.... it's a blatant abuse. Those tickets you saw were really something then. :dpooh:

I hope we can manage to find something. There's still time 🙏🏻

Really, they are evil. :13877886: Someone must be having a huge party for getting those tickets so cheap!

And I checked about verifying a ticketcamp account with landline but it only accepts mobile. :13877886:

I will keep investigating and share my findings. I know there are companies that will buy through Yahoo Auctions on your behalf but I hear it's risky to get tickets that way.

(I need something other than dead bunny to express myself but it's really hard. :13877886:)

(I'm sorry for being in the depths of despair yesterday. I will try and find us a way out of this tunnel of ticketlessness!)

Thank you in advance! I also believe its too risky to get them through a third-party on yahoo auctions, it'd be better to have a friend or trusted person behind that.

I'm a firm believer of when there's a will, there's a way, so let's keep searching!

Is it possible to get an activated Japanese sim somewhere from overseas?

It's having the Japanese number that's tripping most efforts up.

I've tried looking but it seems mostly you can purchase a Japanese sim from overseas then activate only once in Japan.

The problem I haven't found a way around is that the e-ticket app requires an 090 / 080 / 070 number which requires you to be signed up for a phone contract in Japan and for that of course you have to be a resident so there goes the official resale for foreigners. As for verifying accounts on Ticketcamp, I don't know how to get any sort of number that works (virtual IP numbers are all 050). The short term tourist sims seem to be data sims that don't come with a phone number.

I think maybe they don't want us to go.:13877886:

Oh great, that really makes things difficult.

So the most viable option is really through the resale sites that charge an arm and a leg for tickets.

Sigh...

OMG I'm late

Please tell me if you find them again. I have Japanese phone number 090
