Cross-posting this here in case some of you might be interested in the additional NHK Trophy 8K viewing while in Japan for the GPF.

Thank you! But please don't worry about it. Please enjoy your trip to Japan as fully as possible!

I'm actually debating now whether I actually have enough time to prepare for the trip at that late stage.

That's pretty close to the date of the competition, and I will have to book plane tickets, take care of travel documents, etc. all in a few weeks.

Anyway, I'm not really pulling my hair to get tickets, so we shall see what happens during sale time.

just a question, am I able to sell the oversea ticket on www.ticket.co.jp?

I'm not sure on this one, but as long as they don't require a Japanese phone number and address, then I guess it should be okay.

Other people more knowledgeable might be able to provide more useful comments though.

How about the official ticket exchange website?

But I guess you're already trying there.

why do you need Japanese phone number and address to resell?

No I am not trying that exchange website...first I heard it only takes the ones from lottery? second I am still shocked...

I just learnt that someone spent $5000 on GPF tickets:facepalm:and since the vacation is already booked with manager, she will have to go; but she said she will go visit Sendai instead. She is now trying to resell her tickets on twitter but the prices dropped so quickly and significantly.....

I'm not really sure what you would need to register on the website as I haven't tried it myself. It's just that having a Japanese phone number seemed to be one of the issues some of our fellow satellites had in procuring tickets on other similar websites. But you could try registering. There might not be any problem at all in this case.

You can register for ticket.co.jp with a virtual mobile number at least (I tried a Japanese Skype number) but there is a verification process. You have to send you photo and passport and your shipping address has to match that. So unless you live in Japan they don’t want to know about you, as usual. :13877886: I have to sell my gala ticket and I only have one day to do it. Somebody please let me know if you find a way for foreigners to sell tickets.

ETA sorry I am getting rid of my NHK Gala Ticket. Sorry to confuse the thread.

Status of ticket trading on the GPF ticket trading website.

When I looked at the site yesterday, there were around 472 transactions done on the website.

Now the count is 1064. Therefore around 500+ transactions performed since yesterday.

(I'm not sure how they count the transactions though, as it seemed there were less than 500 tickets available for trading on the site when I looked.)
