So it says there are cases where foreign credit cards can't be used? How can we tell if it's okay to use them for this lottery?

To everyone who is going to do the lottery or going to buy second hand paper ticket..

I just found someone to call the general information phone number of gpf to ask about this rule:

Q.チケット購入後に行かれなくなったのですが、知人に譲ってもよいですか。

A.営利目的の不正転売は禁止しておりますが、それ以外の譲渡は禁止しておりません。

The women in the call said they could not verify this, so if you have the paper ticket, you can get in...no id check...

(sounds like using my friend/parents' names to buy tickets is possible)

 

NO clue about "A ticket purchased through resale will become invalid at the discretion of the organizer.
      We may ask you to leave even you entered the venue once." may be only related to electronic ones.

Thanks so much for all this detective work! No wonder none of us won if you can use other names! I have an extremely rare family name so I run out of legitimate names to enter with pretty quickly. 

 

As for electronic tickets, the app that you use to display them at the gate will show that the phone you're using isn't the number that was used to buy them so I don't think you can resell them anyway (unless through the official site.)

Not sure about this one, I thought Pia doesn't accept foreign cards so I didn't even consider it.

 

What I'm having trouble with is phone numbers. What are you guys doing to get enough numbers to enter multiple times?

find people with Japanese credit cards...

I think you can use other people's phone numbers...in order to get ticket, you need to id of your ticket and phone number. it seems that you only need the number of phone. You don't need to be with the phone or the phone needs to be working.

Correct me if I am wrong.

Yup, you're right! I found a bunch of business I know shut down to use.

I'm all entried out. I know I could apply hundreds of times but I can't.  I'm dead and done. (And still waiting for that lousy travel agent to tell my my NHK results! Omfg.)
