They were a bit startled by the coaches faces when Morisi finished til I explained he’d popped every jump, and it’s not what one would describe as a nurturing coaching team….

To put it mildly I'm so happy for Roman, regardless of that little wobble in the first jump he skated beautifully. On the other hand, I'm amazed, over and over again, at how high judges score Daniel. I just... don't get it.

Me neither - I wondered but it’s the same irl - friend noticed his spins and wondered if he has hyper flexibility to get into those positions. Might explain the frog in a blender jumps. But he stays on his feet - looking at you Roman (and Deniss)…..
November 12, 20223 yr I was back at 8am for the ice dance practice. Not many people so I could sit at block 7 front row like on Thursday. Lots of applauds to F/G of course, and also to the Czech team and B/B. The RDs are full of energy. Women practice to follow.

November 12, 20223 yr Guys Robin Cousins liked my tweet - a reply to ISU who posted a clip of Roman doing his quad, of course... I know some dont interact with ISU but I was so fed up about scoring (surprise surprise) of various skaters such as Tatsuya, who only got 1 PCS point above Morisi (I mean, really??? just how!) that when I saw Roman's quad being used in the clip when he skates with such musicality and magical spins I retorted: Wish you'd post parts of Roman's (& all men's skaters') programmes that weren't quads quads quads - he is so musical with wonderful spins steps & SS, you need to stop promoting this sport as just jumps, it's so much more than that! (well done Roman! Beautiful performance) The thing is I just wish commentators/Olympic champs were more verbal about this...I know many of them must think the same as us...
