will the issue magically fix itself? from the way these junior skaters are jumping doesn't look like it'll come from an advancement on technique

probably not. I think if Kamila's career dies only 2-3 years after her debut too there has to be a reckoning and they'll have to make some policy changes like increasing the age minimum. might be wishful thinking though

i think to them it's a feature, not a bug. unfortunately.

RusFed, at least.

it's objectively bad for the sport though. who will want to follow skating if everyone you like is doomed to be uncompetitive in 2 years? not to mention the long term injury potential

For some reason I see more of a future for the non Eteri trained teenagers. I mean, longevity.

Lol. trusova looking like the old lady in that green room group.

ted's forced positivity is a bit annoying when you know what's happening behind the scenes here

yeah...many things smell at this competition

anna just has one of the worst jump techniques i've ever seen, especially on toe jumps

She has very little to recommend in her skating, actually.

anna's skating skills are so aggressively average, and it really holds her back performance wise

Huh Shcherbakova went for only one quad? I thought she'd at least try 2, one Flip and one Lutz (just like at IdF) or two 4F. With the one fall, the wobbly and UR 3Lo and tight jumps, even Tuktamysheva could've beat here had she skated clean in the short program. I know RusFed probably wouldn't let Anna stay at home, but still...

Anna has really regressed so much this season huh.
