November 27, 20214 yr The truth is that both Tuktamysheva and Khromykh should have hard time breaking 135 in FP when clean. But between them and Valieva, it's V who is the most overscored. She is as overscored as [redacted] and all the "at least she can spin" apologists can kiss me in my
November 27, 20214 yr No one bothered to watch the women? Right, there’s no point. Given the amount of overscoring, Rostelecom Cup had better be avoided like the plague.
November 27, 20214 yr I watched, but I feel like it's no point to comment anymore Anyway, I will be surprised if Valieva skates much after this season...
November 27, 20214 yr Didn't watch the women's skate. What's the point? Honestly, it's just so depressing as a skating fan to see a 15 year old get higher PC scores in her first senior season than Yuna Kim or Mao Asada ever did in their career. The sport is truly broken. The judges have no idea what to look for or that high tech content does not equal high PCs...RIP
November 27, 20214 yr Judging really ruined the ladies free skate, even if expected the incredible overscoring. The audience cheered for Liza more than for Valieva, the energy was different during and after her skate. When Valieva did her jumps everyone only waited for the next trick - a quad, a 3A, a combo here, a leg kick there. They sounded tired of it, and when the scores were announced they were surprised but not really enthusiastic about it? It was interesting. I disliked Liza's free skate as much as Valieva's, only for different reasons...sorry. I liked Loena who had really good ice coverage, power, and energy on the ice today. Her costume though 🙈 Maiia looked slow with little ice coverage after Loena, the difference between them was so big. Her scores were also laughable. I cheered for smaller fed skaters and was trying to avoid thinking about scores but towards the end it just made me mad.
November 27, 20214 yr I really loved the fact that Kamila was getting such high GOE on her 3A. Like, that score on her 3A was higher than what Yuzu usually gets for his 3A, which has all sorts of transitions in/out of it. Maybe the high free leg on the landing is what boosts her score. Maybe someone should tell him that he should try that.

I was thinking something similar to that But really, all the time girls land 3A/quads clean (most of them awfully pre-rotated, and with super long preparation, but shhh), they usually get higher GOE than men would get for the very same jump - especially Eteri's girls, and now especially Kamila... Gotta love FS judging.
November 28, 20214 yr I watched the women's FP as my lunch entertainment today. What can I say, women's figure skating has never been as dull or uninteresting as it is now. I can't even get angry at the utterly ludicrous scoring anymore. I'm just shaking my head. This is worse than any scripted reality show. I've already watched Valieva's FP twice and it stresses me out. It's just so busy all the time. There's nothing exciting, interesting or memorable about it. It's just one jump, one high kick, arms up, jump, high kick, swinging arms, repeat. To think that she got higher GOEs than even Yuzu for his absolutely stunning and perfect jumps with difficult transitions in an out. And her PCS!
