November 26, 20214 yr Author Ahh yes. A 3A with some height and proper Lz technique altho anything else is really lacking with Tukt. She's so slow it's painful to watch sometimes

November 26, 20214 yr Valieva got second highest PCS in this system (little behind Shcherbakova's at Worlds) Watch her getting 38+ at GPF.
November 27, 20214 yr I predicted 86 for Valieva but I underestimated it a bit 😅 The scores are really way way too much, but it was expected, the panel would never call her problematic combination or flip. I was sitting in the long side of the rink, quite close to the rink and it was more visible that the rippon helps to maintain her axis on the 3A. She couldn't hold the axis at practice many times, she fell or stepped out a few times. So at least when it counts she can do it. Her spins are difficult and she has good flow and speed. The new costume hides her posture a bit, at practices she looks more hunched. Liza skated so slow compared to others, she has half the speed of Valieva, for example. She has the 'mature look' and I think judges love that but the short program is a bit generic and empty. Her jumping technique is good but she doesn't cover much ice with her jumps, and she telegraps her 3A a lot. 3F looked UR or borderline UR. Yesterday she focused a lot on doing the elements. She is the no. 2 skater of Russia now, and if she lands her Axels in the free, judges will give her again very high scores. I was surprised to see Mariah's scores and 3rd place. She skates so much on two foot. But at least she changed the program, this style suits her more. Loena looked nervous even before the skate. Maybe it's the pressure that she needs to deliver again after her success of GP Italy.
