Well, I was living in Washington DC until recently, and there it was an absolute no-no to play MJ music among the political "elites" and I had to be careful.  I recall Wakaba did a MJ medley for an ice show in Japan - where MJ controversy may not have become such an issue.

 Maybe it just needs more time, because beside all what happened, he was a great artist. It must be very hard to skate to his music since everybody has MJ's dancing in mind. 

Audience is allowed, the only thing they changed is they allowed people to request a refund due to the state of emergency I believe.
