April 25, 20215 yr I think they went through their slow-mo montage already and it started to replay, but the Ed Sheeran playlist is still going!
April 25, 20215 yr OK, a quiz while we are waiting and watching slow dancing Yuzu: which N American dancers do you think he studied for these movements?
April 25, 20215 yr Shoma as the ladies' man is a humorous twist. He seems to be having a good time, lol.

I saw something online that compared some of his moves to Michael Jackson's and some of it seems to match! I wish I can remember where I saw it.

I have a friend who doesn't care about figure skating but he is a huge Michael Jackson fan. I sent him Yuzu's opening and he absolutely loves it.

Oh, good! Yuzu said something like - the N American rock/pop dances have something that gets down deep into "the core" and demands attention - like "look at me/I'll show you!!"

He wants his skating to be both an athletic/sports performance as well as an artisitic platform from which to convey a story/narrative. You and Us both, Yuzu, you and Us (wanted you to perform it again) Also, loving that he's still stating how much he wanted both sides of fs Thank you for translating! In other news, my brain woke me up 1h earlier than planned on a Sunday and yet I've still missed the opening😭 the betrayal, I hadn't thought there would be livestream available for the rest of us😞

Hihi, I think he just watched all Michal Jackson-Vidoes - not the badest dance teacher. NSYNC, Backstreet Boys maybe? Justin Timberlake...

That's a great list - for starters. So while Misha practices ballet like movements of Nureyev, Yuzu is studying the Backstreet Boys for art. BTW, I would have loved to have Yuzu skate to MJ's Earth Song - such a moving piece. But perhaps MJ is now too controversial, esp in North America?
April 25, 20215 yr Mura-kun's jumps are still huge! Shun is also improving his skating and performance skills. I hope he will have the chance to be a great rival to Yuma - two buddies competing and pushing each other. Lovely Mai-chan, such beautiful light movements!

Elladj, V/M, I think Nathan had a jr program too, (now I think about that, James/Cipres had a MJ ex too ewww.. they're not NA but they were training in NA back then), these are just off the top of my head and Yuzu was once compared to MJ on the ice by the New York Times as a compliment... so I'm not quite sure how divisive MJ and his music are there... Eta: unless something changed in the last couple years?
