Anni
From Marina Ice account, a figure skating equipment store in Kobe 🙏🙏 Rough translation Quote "I visited Yuzuruha Shrine again ⛩ to pray for Yuzuru Hanyu's 4A success and Gold medal.🥇 And above all I hope you can finish it safely without any injuries ..." I found this MAD from "Mezamashi TV" [NEWS] Let's cheer for Yuzu together next week. He trained so hard. Therefore I hope everything goes well for him and he is happy in the end. b138oo
Time really flies i started following Yuzu after sochi team event where i fell in love with his amazing sp. i was in my 1st yr uni back then, as a pre med student. And then I watched Yuzu won his 2nd Olympics gold as a 1st yr med student. Now, 4 yrs later, im gonna watch yuzu competes for another gold at Beijing Olympics as a 1st yr junior doctor Idc about the scores anymore bc the judges were already sus during the team event, but i am hoping for Yuzuru to finally able to complete 2 perfectly clean programs. I still remember how he really regretted not having a clean fp back then at Sochi. Yuzu FIGHTING Link to comment
SuzyQ
Yuzuru should have been clad in PPE, besides the volunteers In any way, they were too close to him, and they should not have disclosed his arrival before the official announcement. Link to comment
Saawa
I am so so so relieved Yuzu finally arrived. The waiting and uncertainty was very stressful these past days. Hope he stays healthy, safe and is able to put out performances he will be proud of and satisfied with and is able to enjoy his third Olympics. I also hope media will keep proper distance. Off topic, but i accidentally found this interview with Valentyn Nikolayev (coached Petrenko, Baiul) DeepL+GT translation: https://sport.rambler.ru/winter/48072094-nikolaev-o-shansah-trusovoy-nedostatke-plyuschenko-i-detskom-stresse/?utm_content=sport_media&utm_medium=read_more&utm_source=copylink "Apparently, Yuzuru wants to go down in history not just as a multiple Olympic winner, but as a 'technician.' I understand him in that. Hanyu is remembered primarily as a great skater. His ability to do complex elements as if on the go, without disturbing the rhythm of the skating - this is absolutely fantastic thing. Very few people can do that. The vast majority of those who make programs of comparable complexity, just run from corner to corner. And the program itself is decorated with either jumps or falls. Although, from my point of view, if a person does not have an interesting program, the grades must necessarily reflect this. It happens, however, and vice versa: the program is interesting, with various tricks, tricks, but the person skates it very mediocre. Not because they do not glide, but because they were not taught. Q: Do I understand your point correctly that a skater does not have to run all the way across the rink to do a quadruple jump? "That is just the prerequisite. But who said that one should gain speed only by running (does he mean stroking?), with arms outstretched to the sides, as if you were going to stand on the wing? Yes, the run with interesting steps, like any difficult approach to the element, takes more strength and more breathless. But it all comes with practice." Nice to see at least someone openly gives credit to Yuzu for this. This post has been tagged by yuzuangel as [NEWS]. Link to comment
