The OP reports on an interview with Mr Yoshida, the gentleman who has been polishing Yuzu's skate for over a decade (and also Nanami-sensei's husband). The interview was reported in the 20/21 Figure Skating Magazine (the following is my translation):

 

"Recently, I noticed something while polishing his blades.  I can no longer find scratches on the edges that I used to get all the time. In the past, I would always find deeper scratches in the same place, but for the past year or so, I have hardly seen any. Do you know what that means?  When you practice, the blades get scratched from edge-to-edge collision.  Most skaters show this, and Hanyu-kun used to be the same.  But for the past year or so, I have not found any (on Hanyu's blades).  I think he is now able to refine his control down to the tip of his foot and tip of his edge....  His skating skill has evolved even further."

Je revois les programmes de Yuzu en prévision du trophée NHK et je tombe de plus en plus amoureux de Heaven in Earth. J'aime tous les gestes subtils et surtout la façon dont la tension dans son corps se resserre et se détend avec la musique (surtout après les 4t-3s en deuxième mi-temps). J'aime aussi que Yuzu prenne vraiment soin de raconter une histoire avec son programme et j'ai l'impression qu'il était tellement dedans qu'il a dû prendre quelques secondes après son coup final. J'espère vraiment qu'il décrochera son 4A pour lui faire sentir que ce programme est terminé. Je suis aussi très excité de voir un nouveau SP ! Avec ses interviews de ces derniers temps, je ne pense pas qu'il considère qu'aller aux Jeux olympiques soit une chose importante pour lui, et honnêtement, je comprendrais s'il prenait sa retraite après les championnats du Japon dans le style de Machida s'il décrochait son 4A d'ici là (aussi navré que nous serions tous). Mais tout dépend de Yuzu.

 

 

 

 

:wave: ALL : totalement d'accord par rapport à H and E et la 1ère fois que je l'ai admiré ( et à chaque fois aussi ) j'ai été " scotchée " par son regard à la fin , tellement dans son personnage et concentration et comme s'il était hypnotisé .....  et même après sa retraite , je continuerais a regarder le patinage et encourager Shoma et Yuma et mes Frenchis

and this one in Yuzu which makes us laugh and, of course, the "famous" GPF of Marseille which is very bad at the presentation of "medals" hummmm and you are right to laugh

My mom bet 20€ on Yuzu digivolving to Mega-Yuzu this season and skating to a 2:50 cut of this piano-version of "Butterfly" :xD:

 

And my dad bet 20€ that it's any piano piece except these two  :LOL:

omg butterfly on the piano sounds absolutely gorgeous! but yes Yuzu using a different cut of Chopin would be so iconic and such a Yuzu thing to do LMAO
 

Either way I know Yuzu's going to have the most amazing SP and I'll be crying tears of joy when I watch it :softYuzu:

Isn't it Yuzu he's joking HENNI, because even a HYPER skateboarder could not from 2:50 : too fast, but the 1st part plausible I would say  :yuzuhuh: , but in the Henni family you are a small bettor : 20 € .....  and, against this piece "butterfly / moth" is appare siness known, but not by me : she is originally SVP because it ' is very sweet to listen :girlsigh:

By the way, after Nam's interview, I'm concerned to hear about the increasing number of skaters who went through / go through a really bad time for their mental health. It's good to hear they got help. Covid and the upcoming Olympics are taking their toll. (If my english wording isn't appropriate, it is unintentionally, please look over it.)
