General Yuzuru Chat

Recommended Posts

The other day just after our daily ritual of watching and re watching Yuzu' s programs, my daughter and I just had this crazy idea of posing one of his element just for fun:81:. After some serious and long discussion for the simplest and easiest one, we picked the camel spin. So there we were in out kitchen, holding onto the back of the chair for dear life to balance while standing on the firm wooden floor, we both stuck out our legs. Sadly, with negative flexibility, we could only raised our chicken legs to about 45 degrees . Struggling to fix the body and head to the correct position was tormenting! We're both sweating and feeling dizzy trying to hold the pose for just about 5 sec.:dpooh:. We got a good laugh at our ugly pose reflections from the patio door. Conclusion: skating is not for us, and Yuzuru is an alien who has supernatural power:hachimaki:. We can't fathom how he does it on ice:bow:

Thank you for sharing this!

Yous story reminds me of a special moment shared by Yuzuru and his fans when he was leaving after the GPF 2016 gala. There were people including me  waiting for him outside the rink, near the autocar entrance. When he appeared he spotted us, bowed and said something in Japanese before leaving in a taxi. This moment was brief but unforgettable. I will ever remember his angelic face against  the sunset sky...  And he was so close, you could almost touch him.

There were a few people filming, but my phone failed, the only thing I have is a 2 seconds video. Since then I was looking for photos/videos of this moment but it seems that nobody have ever shared them :(.

Wow, I am so happy for you for the unforgettable special moment you experienced with Yuzu who spotted you, but not by chance!!! Thank you for sharing 🙏💕

At first, I was quite hesitated whether or not to translate

this kind of thing as I thought if it's about sth formal or

sth to do with deep details in figure skating which I have

not much knowledge at all about it particularly in terms of

techniques, this must be done as usual(?!) by the members

who are the experts in FS or the specialists of this field of

translation. Since it seems there is still no any translation

work uploaded on this Planet Hanyu at this moment, so as

requested in the chat, here you are.

YUZURU HANYU,   A MAN WITH GREAT POWER OF

EXPRESSION.....THE ONE-AND-ONLY EXISTENCE !

||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||written by Kenji Iizuka|||||||||||||||

It's very rare how a Japanese person can be this strong in

the field of presentation in a sport. What's more, in a male

category. Daisuke Takahashi was also someone at top level

in FS world but in different way and with different pheromone.

Long arms and legs, nice style. His expressions will only

unconsciously draw people's attention into his attractiveness.

At the end of the performance where the skaters will show

their best, his pose is pointed out to be like a striking pose

of KABUKI (Traditional Japanese Theatre, in which songs and

dances are performed by men). Looking at his expression

at that moment, you can't help instinctively giving a shout

of joy !  On top of that, look at his supple body and lithe or

graceful movements. It's said that there had always been

a reputation of the beauty of the Beillman Spin executed

by female skaters, now you can't deny that he, as a man

can manage to come up with it.

A cameraman even added, " To talk about taking pictures

of FS, it's in fact like we are taking pictures of only

YUZURU HANYU."

In respect of scoring (Composition Scores), there are

Movement/Transition, Execution/Performance, Choreography

and Interpretation. YUZURU HANYU is the person who has

the power to show "himself", or "the power of expression",

more than anyone else. As a certain, you should never

forget that with those of his capability as a base, there is

also the existence of high-leveled technical skills.

Page  20 :

YUZURU HANYU.....Overwhelmingly,

                                  the Power of Expression

||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

7 persons who talked on this column:

(1) Ikushima/生島         (2) Tomura/戸村         (3) Sano/佐野

(4) Fujita/藤田       (5) Kishimoto/岸本     (6) Sugiyama/杉山

(7) Sueishi/スエイシ・ナオヨシ

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

(1) A Sport with Presentation is sth like the worst for us as

the presentation is a Japanese people's weak point.

Really rare that he's so strong on this respect. What's

     more, he IS a man.

(2) I feel like he has already further been ahead of Daisuke

     Takahashi.

(3) His expression at the end of each performance is just

tremendous. I think every time he terribly focuses on

his concentration. The way he attracts the audiences

is like a striking pose of KABUKI.

(4) Imo, manly pheromone was the word for Daisuke

Takahashi. In case of Hanyu, it's different.

(5) Even when you know what will come next, you can't

refrain from taking pictures of him.

(4) When you are at the scene to cover the story, without

your noticing it, it always becomes like you are closely

watching every little move Hanyu makes.

(6) Absolutely an idol, now.

(1) Also, he has high capability in view of presentation.

(2) He is a steady young man/a clear head, knowing well

about himself, having sound judgement of what he's

going to do. So to say, whatever he does, his opinion

will never sway/his attitude will never change.

(5) His arms and legs are also long. His style is just nice.

His appearance too that you can count on it.

(7) He also has a terrible pliant body.

(5) His Biellmann Spin maybe looks much more beautiful

     than those of female skaters.

(3) FS is a scoring sport with its unique scoring system.

To get high scores, both techniques and expressions

are required or you need to be an all-(a)round skater.

(7) There are the scoring in terms of how to manage

your body at your best, choreography and an

     interpretation of the music.

(3) I think, not only technical skills, but also in all of

those aspects which he's already strong that led

him to dominate the FS world, to be on the top.

(5) It's like he has no any rival, now. The one and only

     opponent is perhaps HIMSELF.

||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

:sign0001:Just a comment. As you may see in the source,

there are back issues shown there....There were

M.Ando(2005), M.Asada(2009), D.Takahashi(2010)

and even A.Fukuhara.......................None of them is

an Olympic Champion :0006: !!

Just want to say that:

I wonder why there is "still"  no YUZURU HANYU

or even SHIZUKA ARAKAWA who are THE ONLY

TWO OLYMPIC CHAMPIONS (FS) OF JAPAN and

particularly YUZU with many many more of

historical records and with this worldwide popularity,

on the FRONT COVER of this magazine !?

Again, there are a lot behind the scenes?

 :sorry:, just an opinion.

:thankyou:
