So There won’t be a Media Day this year ! 

But i guess that there’s a good reason for his decision! 

I am happy that he’ll be participating at ACI and he announced at it the right time because next week we’ll have to write the shiftplan for September !

I first saw him when SBS started broadcasting figure skating in the 2015/16 season but really went nutso after Helsinki WC in 2017. 

 

Its a nightmare if you want to go to see him because Europe and North America are so far and though Japan is close, their ticketing system makes it more and more nightmarish to get tickets every year.

 

On the plus side, because our timezones are quite close, we really benefit when it comes to live streaming his appearances in Japan.

Yuzuru is unfortunately like many famous people :') Singers and such as well when it comes to seeing them in the flesh when you live in Australia. (especially my side of Aussie land) they don't come here. So you have to go else where, flights, accomodation, foreign tickets. I'll live in content through online content I suppose! Although I'm noticing he really doesn't give us much 
Struggles are real. I've been to Japan a few times it's wonderful over there but yes the ticketing raffles are something satan invented I'm pretty sure. Timezones however are awesome you're right! We'll at least we'll be able to watch those streams together comfortably! ahaha

Yay for ACI less YAY for media day but as other as said Yuzuru does what Yuzuru wanys and I'm perfectly fine with it as long as he's healthy!

On the other side luckily I work in a medical enviroment so when ACI will come and he'll drop the programs I'll have my doctors close because something tells me I'll need them all

G'day mate! I'm a kind of cultural mix of Aussie/Japanese/British. 

 

As SparkleSalad said, when it comes to the events (ice shows) in Japan, us  Aussies got the geological benefit in terms of the time zones. Wherever you're, ISU competitions are live streamed on ISU web site except when your country has a TV broadcasting scheduled for the event (AUS has BSB broadcasting some of the ISU events).

We've done it!

 

 

And Golden Pooh and unicorn gave me an inspiration for this.

 

 

This is a mythical creature called 麒麟 (Qilin / Kirin) have a little look at wikipedia on the link. Visually the creature is a mixture of unicorn (it has a single horn) and dragon (it has scales). Yuzu has been linked to unicorn and Smaug so I think Qilin is the perfect blend of the two.

Ill take this golden 5000 page mark as an opportunity to let you all know I might be painting a portrait of Yuzuru. Well, not might, I definitely am.
Sneak peek time? Lollll don't judge too harshly its a bit distorted but it's very large in size i had to take this from the floor. I'm a painter. Pls don't share this anywhere
