I hope all you doubters are wearing your eating hats!

I don't think anyone had doubts that he'd make a great program out it, I at least never saw anything of the kind. The objections were always all of a different nature, that still stand.

I imagine once it's done, it'll probably lessen to an extent for some, while for others it'll hold. And that's ok, everyone is still supporting him anyway, even if they're not thrilled with the choices.

Yuzuru doesn't owe us anything.

He will do what he deems necessary in order to win, not to please his fans.

And clearly keeping ballade is the best strstegy he has for next year. Any other possibility would be high risk, low gain.

Wow, wonder how much that would have scored in comp!  I didn't think Chopin could get much refined from before but ITS SO BEAUTIFUL!!!! :7782973:

You know what I don't understand...I know the problem with the 3Lz-3T in the 2014-15 season was the timing in the SP, but how come he has no problem with the timing with a quad

Well, I can see where all the disappointment is coming from. I couldn't help but feel the same, just bc I was expecting him to come up with something new and original, judging by his trend of the last two seasons and also based on my belief that while, yes, Yuzu wants to win OGM he will not let himself get swayed by the Olympics and will try doing so within his own conditions. So my initial disappointment never stemmed from feeling like Yuzu owed me anything. But as others have already said, this might be his way of staying true to his ideals, anyway- raising technical difficulty without having to sacrifice on presentation. And I don't see a reason to believe he is watering down for the Olympics, yet, so, at least for myself, I can't justify disappointment.

if he got maximum GOEs on the jumps,he would break his WR,something around 114 I think (that's what Max Ambesi said,I didn't do the math myself)

He was fated to do quad not triple.

Yuzu's thought process for Olympic year:

"Everyone kept saying I had an Olympic moment at NHK 2015, so let's actually have an Olympic moment at the freaking Olympics"

*brings Chopin 3.0 and Seimei 2.0 back*

Guy can get pretty literal.

It's a joke. I don't even know if Seimei 2.0 is happening at all.

If he ever got unanimous +3 GOE on all his jump passes, average +2 GOE (1.00 applied GOE) on spins, +3 GOE on StSq4 and 49 PCS, it'd be around 114, yes. Big if, though.

My guess is that Seimei 2.0 won't happen (unless as an ex[let it be the original costume], but I still hope for LGC ex for Olys), but Chopin is basically like this+ unending strive for perfection/'how would it be to skate i uninjured???' curiosity xD

YES.

from my perspective,  respecting your surpporting athlete's decisions is a basic requirement for fans.technically speaking, yuzu actually doesn't have an obligation to meet fans' wishes esp in decisions about important skating issues(but he is always so considerate of fans right?).

skating is his OWN career and winning in PyeongChang is his OWN dream. i understand some fans' disappointment, but sorry that i can't understand criticism to him for this decision from ppl who called themselves fans of yuzu. if not so why are we called YUZU'S fans instead of audience or just skating fans?

People criticize their favorites all the time, in sports, in movies, in music, whatever area. Just look at the divided opinions on Yuzu's outfits for one. You're not required to LOVE everything your favorite does to be called a fan.

Above all else, I am my own person, and I will have my own feelings and opinions. That doesn't make me less of a fan.
