Saitama Ice Arena where 24TV program was recorded reported in its blog here: https://ameblo.jp/saitama-icearena/entry-12305161971.html 「さすがの羽生選手 華麗なジャンプも・・ 難しいステップも・・ 一発ノーミスの完璧な演技でした」 "This is Hanyu-senshu. Gorgeous jumps...Difficult steps... It was perfect performance without mistakes with the first try." Almost every night I watch Hope&Legacy 2017 World → Ienaiyo 24TV → Chopin ACI. All of them are so beautiful and I have tears in my eyes. Watching those Yuzu's performance comfort me and make me feel calmer. After I came back from Osaka, I still feel a bit depressed. I think I won't feel 100% happy till I see Yuzu skate 元気に. (I can't think of any English meaning 元気に in this case.) 24時間テレビ was a wonderul performance. The 4T of dreams! I hope he can get back to that condition soon. I'm trying not to think about it but still keep coming across pictures of the fall and him on crutches fighting back tears and my heart sinks. I hope everyone's messages of love and support were of some help to him. I know he'll be okay by Olympics - he has to be - but I hope when he shows up at Nationals it's in full health and with a fighting spirit. Even a minor fall there is going to give us all a terrible shock. (Genki is hard to translate into English without using many different words. I think we should just adopt it from Japanese to save time. ) Link to comment

(that was the name of the show right after Nats, serving as the gala from time to time/bonus ice show to cherish their skater's great(est) accomplishments up till this point of season, right? Or do I mess something up?) Also, maybe this (very low quality) will cheer you up a bit (yes I'm on a diggin up old vids spree): Spoiler https://www.bilibili.com/video/av970101/?from=search&seid=12573114003716015740#page=1 Link to comment

This I wish we could find out! I want to know what could have been at NHK. I was hoping and praying and begging the Skating Gods for Requiem but after CoR I just want him to perform swan forever. I could be wrong but I hardly recall a single guy putting together clean programs in 16/17 season among the quad jumping guys, especially if pops, step outs etc also count towards unclean. And so far, in the gp its uncle Sergei saving the men? And he just said consistency is on the podium each international competition? Well, that definately is not US men or ladies last season. And it's ridiculous to expect today's skaters to be as clean as the skaters from 10-15 years ago. Of course they were clean, their programs weren't nearly as demanding, the old system encouraged clean skates over technical difficulty, and the difficulty of the programs took several years to become this intense even after the change in 2004. No one had to learn a 4Lz to win. How many of the "consistent" skaters would have been able to do programs with 3-5 quads? My guess is not very many of them. Which is not to say they weren't good skaters, simply that the sport now demands superhuman skill, which in turn brings more mistakes... Idiot people on Twitter, seriously... Link to comment
